I was told a story by my uncle, who is slightly over 50 yrs, about the “original drummer” for the grateful dead. His name is Pat Lorenzano and I guess im related to him as well through second cousins and aunts. The whole story started with about how Pats drums were given to my uncle, whos wife then sold them for 200 dollars because of space. I couldnt find much on google other than Pat being the drummer for the band Comfort which frequently featured Hunter and sometimes Jerry Garcia. Anyone who is from that time or anyone who knows anything about this, I would really appreciate any knowledge on this. The dead have always held a special place in my heart, and I dont have much family alive any
For starters, I own a Jackson JS with stock p style pickups. Ive been interested in customizing my bass as it does need upgrades, but I have no idea how I would go about installing new pickups and possibly another. Ideally Id want to install a J style bridge pickup from scratch to give my tone more of a hot punch of growl, but Im not sure how to go about wiring (and installing volume/tone pots)
What would be a good p style replacement and are there any recommendations for a j style? (Was looking at hot stacks or emgs, something with a decent amount of heat and punch)
Me and a buddy walked into safeway and not 3 minutes later we walk out and there was nearly 10 police cars over by the Foster Freeze. I asked some nearby safeway employees what happened and they said there was a guy with a gun pointing it at the police. After a few seconds I can hear them saying “please dont make us do this” and then they move in on him and apprehend him.
It was awesome to see the professionalism of the police, I mean once they arrested him they were out of there decently quick. Lots of people saw but I was just wondering if anyone else on here was there to see it last night.
