So, I've stopped playing Skyrim two years ago more or less. Since then, I started using Linux as my OS, currently on Debian 13 (MX Linux XFCE) but I can change to any other distro if it is easier to mod on then.

I searched a lot for guides about modding on Linux, and found some. I just wanted to know the impressions of those who happens to mod Skyrim AE on Linux in this sub: is it worth the work? Would I be better just using creations (although I never did on Window)? Should I give up and go back to Windows, if I REALLY want to mod? What do you guys advise me to do?

Thanks in advance!

First of all, I still don't know if my hopping days are over, but I sure found something that is close to perfection for my workflow right now.

Some days ago I crossposted something about ZorinOS devs stating that they'll not add age verification in their distro. At the time, I was using CachyOS both on my (weak as hell) gaming PC and in the Thinkpad I use for work.

I love CachyOS, but, although I know it doesn't usually breaks or anything, I wanted the peace of mind of a more stable-focused distro. Not that they are better by design: it was just a psychological need, nothing objective.

My main options for this were Bluefin and Mint, just because they don't need me to install additi

Was introduced to this band by the Sleep Token community, and fell in love through the usual suspects: Elevator Operator, We Got The Moves, Hurrikan... But the one I liked the most was MC Thunder, and I feel the newer songs, although awesome, have a slightly different vibe. I have very limited time to listen to music everyday, so can someone tell me which other tracks has this same kind of style?

Sorry for the broken English, and thanks in advance!

Back here again, but now for my other computer.

I have a fairly old computer which I use to play games. It works quite well, despite its specs:

  • i7 2600
  • GTX 1060 (3gb)
  • 8 gb DDR3 ram
  • 500 gb SSD (sata)

On Windows, never had problems playing the games I like the most: Skyrim, Elden Ring, Outer Wilds... And didn't had any on CachyOS too.

My question is: would it be better for me to use older Nvidia drivers, once my GPU is so old? Or does CachyOS handles it for me? Would another distro be better for an older GPU?

Thanks in advance!
