These questions used to drive me insane. Whether it was from my parents, friends, or SO's, I never knew I suffered from depression at the time so I didn't know how to articulate it. Eventually it would turn into a guessing game where they would take stabs at possible reasons as to why I was so glum.

Eventually I would just make up a reason just to get them to stop pestering me. The problem is that after a while, I would forget that I made it up and just allowed it to be one of life's major pissoffs that defined me.

It's true that sometimes there would be something that triggered the depression, but it was usually something minor and inconsequential that I would be embarrassed to admit t

Like my mind is fleeing from the situation. I could be bauling my eyes out, but my inner thoughts are treating it the same as going to the bathroom, as something that's just going to take time and pass. It's like I'm becoming separate from my body when my body feels things, I think it's the mind trying to defend itself.

I think it's starting to affect my other emotions as well. I've seen some of my favourite bands in live shows, and I'm aware that it's good, but I don't feel anything. Favourites

Left-Right/Top-Bottom

Neko Case - The Tigers Have Spoken

Great live album featuring The Sadies as backing band on many tracks. There's an authenticity to the power of her voice. The red vinyl was a nice surprise.

Radiohead - In Rainbows:

Thought it was decent when it was released, but looking back I find this to be one of their tightest albums

Kamasi Washington - The Epic:

A massive 3LP debut release. Listening to it is a commitment as it is a very dense album musically. There's so much going on here that it can be a bit overwhelming but manages to provide a nice tour through many types of jazz.

**Beastie Boys - Paul's Bo

Five years ago, dad had a motorcycle accident which nearly killed/paralyzed him. We got lucky and he made a near full recovery save a bit of brain damage. Sometimes he gets in logistic loops or gets really angry over trivial matters. His memory has always been kind of spotty even before the accident, even more so now. Usually his angry spells are memory blackouts that he doesn't recall later. He's always been a dangerous driver always trying to pass people even when there's oncoming traffic. On multiple occasions, the oncoming traffic has had to pull over to avoid accidents. This has always been a point of contention between us and I have been quite vocal about my opinion of his drivin
