CJ is incredible. He has a hop back on his snatch. What’s going on with that? And why is ok for him to do that but we coach it out of other lifters?

I’ve always been told front foot then back foot for split jerk recovery. But more and more I’m seeing people recovering with a quick back foot step up. Any thoughts on this? Why would this be preferred?
What workout made you think “I’m a crossfitter!” Or lead you believe you can do this? Or you just felt you had figured it out?
For me it was Grace. It took me 8 mins but I did it RX and didn’t quit.
What about you?
Great article about Tia, her cousin, and her rise in Crossfit
cnn.com/2018/04/08/sport/tia-clair-toomey-wei...I wasn’t feeling it so I had to xebex that WOD.
I just found out Lauren Fisher was in the Meridian region this morning. What region will Sara and Katrin be in the season?
Is anybody else moving regions?
What are some of your favorite complexes?
I do a lot of my own programming and I like to keep interesting. Is there anything you’ve done or seen done that interests you?
Our gym is thinking about doing a weightlifting class.
Does your gym have a class?
How do they do it? Is it coached?
What works and doesn’t work for you?
Thanks for the input.
Am I crazy or does Sam Briggs have kids? My wife feels the same way. It came up in our discussion about a division just for people with kids.
17.4 was the worst workout ever! At least for me. I didn't do 16.4, so I had no idea what I was getting into. Plus I'm only a couple month into my comeback. It just hit me like a truck. It was something awful.
What's your worst ever?
I'm in the market for a new CR-V and have noticed that AWD are almost impossible to find. Is this bc they aren't really needed? Or is it because it's the end of the model year?
How important is AWD vs FWD? We'll be driving in rain and the occasional ice storm
Why do some teams have 8 people of their regional roster if only 6 can compete?
Are there subs? What happens if someone gets injured?
I have a Rogue SR1 right now. I like the speed and small handles, but the rope is always out of shape, because I keep it rolled up in my bag.
I want to get a rope that I can roll up and it won't leave the rope out of shape. What ropes do you like? What should I get?
Most of the time I avoid encouraging people to do crossfit because I don't want to earn the cultist tag and I don't want to share my new found awesomeness with anyone. But I do have a friend who struggles with weight and shame based fitness. He's big and I mean fat. But he has good cardio endurance for being so big. I've worked out with him at the gym. He is pretty weak and has horrible range of motion. He'll be a failure at first, weren't we all.
I do think it will change his life though. Thoughts on how to pitch him on the free 2 week intro classes?
