We currently only have two moderators including myself. As I started this sub-reddit and have been active here and on other forums for over 20 years the time has come to step back in 2026. I invite those who wish to continue helping new arrivals who need support and information to manage their diabetes to consider becoming one of the moderators.

I doubt anyone noticed but I've been travelling with limited web access for the past month. I'm now back and able to devote more time to helping the new people.

I have an MY21 140TSI LE SKoda Octavia Estate with the 2 litre petrol motor. After two chilly (5C) nights the amber gearbox warning cog appeared at the first start in the morning. After driving a short distance then stopping the engine and re-starting the warning disappeared. Since then I have started many times over three days and driven 1000km without the warning appearing again.

Do I have a problem or can I ignore it as a glitch?

The evil snake oil sales people are getting more devious. In the past few weeks I have noticed a significant increase in ads appearing on Facebook and other social media for cures of type 2 diabetes. They nearly all use a long video which does not mention the name of their product until near the end. This report by the Australian ABC on Glyco Balance is relevant for all of them. I wanted to learn more about the sound system in my MY21 Octavia with Canton but when I went to the online Owner's Manual using my VIN Canton doers not appear just Swing, Bolero and Columbus. Suggestions please.

I bought a 140TSI Limited Edition MY21 Octavia Estate a year ago. I'm very happy with the car but would appreciate advice on a few idiosyncrasies.

1. Windows. Sometimes I just lift or depress the button once and the window goes up or down automatically. Other times I have to lift or depress the button until completed. Am I doing something wrong?

2. When I am listening to radio or media the volume goes quiet sometimes, then returns. It seems to be related to gear changes or indicator use, but that's just a guess.
