Playoffs with tv/sound

Events and Activities 🐱‍🏍

Hello,

Where are people going to watch the playoffs that isn't The Pint? Specifically a Canadiens game. TIA.

My family lives across the country from me, so I was thinking of sending them a big basket of treats from Costco. Any recommendations that you've seen in the GTA? I will look online as well but was hoping to hear opinions from others. TIA!

Hi,

Going to the home opener with a friend on Friday. She has the tickets so I can't see any specific info. Is 7pm the puck drop? Do you guys think there will be stuff going on before the game starts? I was thinking we should be there around 6:15-6:30.

Hi,

I had a Telehealth appointment and the doctor gave me an X-ray requisition form, for me to take to a clinic or hospital.

Any recommendations? Does a clinic I choose have to take It, or can they not serve me if I'm not a patient? (Like how so many walk-ins do).

Just looking for some insight before I start making phone calls tomorrow. Thank you in advance!

Myself and a friend are thinking about visiting one of the Gulf Islands as we've never been before. But we would be going in mid-late September. I've heard anecdotally that things start shutting down once the boom of tourist season is over -- would we still have things to do and restaurants to go to? I know Salt Spring is the biggest of them.

Just looking to crowd source some opinions :)

It's hot out 🥵! How do you prevent/deal with underboob sweat? I don't want to be washing my bras this frequently, and I had one day where I could just smellll my bra in the last hour or two of the day.

I've seen liners you can buy, but they seem to only before the front of your bra. I also really want something for the back of the band as well because if I have underboob sweat I also have back sweat. Should I buy liners? Should I cut up some soft rags or t-shirts and fashion my own?

Little Patch sightings

Advice 🙋‍♂️🙋‍♀️

I'm going to be downtown today and would like to try and catch a glimpse of our visiting whale friend. Does anyone know if there is a specific area or time of day where Little Patch seems to hang out? In news articles it's often just described as "the seawall", which could be anywhere. Or maybe there's a whale tracking app that seems accurate? I checked on one or two sites and he wasn't there.

Hoping for any insider info! TIA!

Hello,

Just wondering if tampons/pads etc will be tariffed? I saw some lists including "hygiene" items, but others didn't specifically say that.

Any insights? I know everything is changing so quickly. I'm a Tampax girly and unfortunately they are from the US.

Thanks for any insight 🙂

It's my birthday today but I'm sick, so we're going to order in. I'm craving beef! Anything you've had recently that you've liked?

I'm looking for hunks of meat, maybe brisket, or a burger, or a beef noodle dish from Chili Pepper House. Had the Mongolian beef last time but wasn't a huge fan. Maybe Manchurian or Hakka style (I've never had it before?). Maybe even steak 👀.

Not feeling soup today as I've been eating soup for days.

TIA!

Hello!

I'm looking for a group activity or class for a friend's birthday, ideally art/arts & crafts/making something. Any suggestions? We did 4Cats Studios one year and did mugs, it was fun.

Even if it's not arts and crafts I'd love to hear any ideas. :)

$50 per person max, at about 6-10 people for mid August are our parameters.

TIA!

Hi,

I'm visiting Nanaimo with some friends tonight and none of us have ever been here before. Are there any pubs/bars that typically have music or a band playing tonight? I see that Old City Station Pub is doing a mechanical bull tonight which sounds fun.

Thanks for any help!

Also taking lunch and dinner recommendations 😄.

I'm visiting Victoria and we're looking for your fave downtown fish & chips that has indoor seating! Red Fish Blue Fish & Finest at Sea were our original choices to checkout, but it looks like it's all outdoor seating/uncovered seating. We are basically only in town for a day and a half so aren't going to travel out of the downtown core this time.

Thanks in advance!

Also thoughts on WhistleBuoy for beers? Every time we try to visit Phillips it's closed 😢.

There is a black dog, medium build, short hair (I don't know the breed) wandering around the area, I first saw him walking along Hastings at Renfrew. It ran accross Renfrew and I last spotted him at Pender and Nookta at 3:30. Must have slipped his collar as there was no leash, collar or owner on sight.

One person mention he was a bit aggressive around humans so I would recommend a bit of caution. Hopefully the owner sees this and can pin down his location!
