[Serious] Hitting a dead end in life.What happened and how did you get out of it?

Interested in hearing about everyone's experiences when it comes to hitting a dead end (as vague as that might sound). It could be anything really, but just curious to know what happened and how you managed to get out of it somehow.

I'm kinda at a dead end myself at the moment and would really help to hear what others have done/experienced

ELI5: over time, people who migrated to America and Australia from the UK, the english accents changed into what we know now as American and Australian accents. Why is it that happens, and that the accents remain unchanged since?

people in the UK still have the same accent, and people in America still have the same accent, so do people in Australia. But somehow that accent changed when the English went to these other countries. The accents changed only to those who left, and those who stayed remain unchanged.
