I will die poor

Seeking Advice

I was born poor. I have a higher education but I have never been able to keep a job.

So I was born poor and probably will die poor, I don't see how I can escape this at this point.

I've been working for four days at an extremely luxurious hotel. My job is to handle all kinds of requests over the phone, most of the time in English (which isn't my native language).

We're expected to speak in a very, very formal way, be incredibly deferential, and basically kiss the guests' asses.

I've always had a phone phobia. I hate talking on the phone with every fiber of my being. And as for ultra-wealthy people... same thing.

I'm self-conscious about my voice and my English but even more about my tone.

I just can't mimic that overly sweet, ridiculous, fake-sounding hospitality voice they all seem to use. Every word that comes out of my mouth feels unbearably cringe.

…Also, I kind of suck lol. I can’t beat Jevil, and I haven’t found any of the shadow crystals because I’m just that bad. It’s getting really frustrating.

I wish there was a way to “cheat” or something, because I genuinely can’t beat any of them lol. But I still want the full story, and I swear I am trying… I’m just terrible at this, it’s ridiculous.

(The main game isn’t that hard, obviously, but all the extra stuff is. I guess that’s the point… you have to earn it lol.)

Is this something we’re supposed to know, and I just missed it?

In Undertale, we know we’re in the “monster world,” separated by the Barrier, and the only way in is by climbing Mount Ebott. But here, shouldn’t there be more humans?

I learned almost everything on my own. No formal path, no clear validation, just trial and error, failed experiments, and figuring things out as I went. On paper, I can point to results. Campaigns that worked, numbers that went up, projects that delivered. But internally, it often feels… fragile.

Sometimes I wonder if my skills are just mediocre at best. Like I know enough to make things work, but not enough to truly master anything. When something succeeds, my first thought isn’t “I did a good job,” it’s “maybe I just got lucky this time.”

Marketing especially makes this feeling worse. Outcomes depend on timing, algorithms, budgets, trends, audience mood, and a hundred variables you don’t

I don’t have many friends, maybe two or three max. One of the only friends I see regularly, and one I actually like going out and drinking with, told me he has romantic feelings for me.

As you can imagine, I didn’t react well at all. It made me uncomfortable and honestly pissed me off.

I want him to understand how I work, how my brain works, and why ‘I love you, I’m in love with you’ is probably the worst thing he could ever say to me and makes me want to get the hell out of there as fast as possible.

To be fair, he did help me realize that I’m avoidant. I thought I was just traumatized, but now I’m realizing I’ve always been like this, unfortunately in every area of my life.

Have you

I'm really struggling to show my work and what I can do on my resume.

I have a portfolio but companies are asking for resumes (and yes there's a link to my portfolio in my resume) and I really don't want to do freelancing anymore.

I'm starting to doubt myself since nobody has fucking clicked on the portfolio.

I mean there's a lot of chance they did not read the resume too but I'm curious what do you think I should put in priority on my fucking resume?

REPOSTING WITHOUT THE PICTURE SINCE THE BOT DIDN'T LIKE THAT

His deepest fear is not the fact that he is gay. It is the fear that his family and friends would reject him if they found out.

At this point, I think Will figured it out and has already had time to accept himself. I wish they had shown more of his journey, since his self-acceptance was supposed to be so important in amplifying his strength and realizing he could use his powers against Vecna.

If they had shown his true greatest fear, being misunderstood, being rejected by the people closest to him simply because of his sexuality, the coming out scene would have had much more impact.

As it is, it feels out of place and rand

I’m sorry, but no amount of action scenes, twists, or so called epic moments can save it at this point.

Nothing makes sense. The dialogue is flat. I won’t even get into the acting or the absurd plot armor protecting every character.

We’ve learned absolutely nothing new about Vecna all this time. Instead, we’re forced to follow a brand new character nobody cares about.

The Dr. Kay subplot feels forced and completely pointless. The US army looks like the least competent army on the planet.

We barely see the characters we’ve been following since the beginning.

They had three years and an enormous budget to pull this off. What a waste. It’s honestly insulting. I don’t see how
