Would you make the default data pool be stored on SSD (replicated x3) instead of HDD even if you are storing all the data on HDD? (also replicated x3)
I was reviewing the documentation at https://docs.ceph.com/en/squid/cephfs/createfs/ because I'm thinking about recreating my FS and noticed the comment there that all inodes are stored on the default data pool. Although it's kind of in relation to EC data pools, it made me wonder if it would be smart/dumb to use SSD for the default data pool even if I was going to store all data on replicated HDD.
The data pool used to create the file system is the “default” data pool and the location for
I figure if anyone can understand it’s this group. I went on a date last night and it went really well but it makes me feel a little scared. Like kind of the good version of FAFO? Also I’m afraid that it won’t work out because we both live a couple hours away from each other and I think we’re both somewhat entrenched in our current locations. I really like her and want to keep seeing her.
Has anyone else been in that kind of situation? What did you do?
After a little over a year it's starting to sink in that I'm really all on my own. 3 kids to get to college and then pay for it. How to some day buy a house again. Save for retirement. It's all on me, nobody else to share my journey with.
The weight of it all is just too much. I don't want to stay on this ride anymore but I can't get off.
Is anybody else not getting sound from the Trader TV (ie CNBC, TDA Network)? I'm still getting the sounds when an order fills or whatever, it's just the sound from the TV part that is not working for me.
Does anybody else feel like time is just broken? Like after just the normal everyday minimum (food, work, kids, etc) all the extra time to do organizing and stuff just kind of disappears and then 3 or 4 weeks later it seems like all you've been doing is the bare minimum and you know there was time to do so much more but nothing on the list actually got done. It feels like that time never existed but you know in reality it did but I guess I just kind of checked out or whatever...
I don't know, it just feels like life isn't working correctly and I don't know how to fix it.
To set the stage I'm probably medium introverted, and maybe high functioning (aka minor) ADHD and/or autism. I lost my wife back on the first day of Yule and even though I've got my kids and my Mom I'm still so lonely. After work every day it takes a lot of mental effort to reach out to even just one person by text and I can barely do that. Everyone has pretty much stopped trying to contact me and with COVID I've probably only seen a handful of non-family in months.
An old friend that I had lost touch with came to my wife's service and I'm confused about my feelings for her. It felt like we have a connection but now I don't know. She was talking to me a lot and we went to the movies complet
I just don't know. I didn't know when she was alive. Every week for 4 months after it recurred, the cancer changed her and we never could make plans for how people could help. Now that it's been about 6 weeks after her death I still don't know and it's just a constant struggle to get the daily things done, ie kids to school, etc.
Why couldn't they just come and be with us and chip in where possible? Why do they have to put so much responsibility on us to tell them how to help? The few people who have helped the most have just been here and didn't ask me to tell them what to do.
I miss her companionship so much. We were together for more than half my life and I'm only 40.
Aside from looking at MRI results & discussing with the doctor, how do you know it's time to move to hospice?
My wife was originally diagnosed with grade 3 anaplastic astrocytoma in September 2014 and did the whole shebang - resection, rehab, chemo/radiation, and chemo. In August this year she started having headaches and before we could get treatment going again had to go in to the hospital due to severe edema in her brain. The MRI just before going into the hospital appear to indicate progression to GBM 4. She got back home from rehab Nov 7 and has been declining since then... headaches started again (not as bad as before), vision problems, aphasia, decreased appetite, etc. It feels t
My wife was diagnosed with AA3 about 5 years ago and had resection and chemo/radiation afterwards. The surgery especially affected her memory (word finding) but lately it's been getting worse. Does anybody know what to expect from here?
I'm starting to realize it's been even worse than I admitted to myself even a week ago, she's going on FMLA leave due to that and debilitating migraines. I think the headaches make the memory worse, and conversely when she pushes to think of the right words real hard they sometimes cause headaches. I'm scared, is there any hope for improvement with rest/diet/therapy/etc?
FWIW - my personal opinions, I am not a doctor, YMMV, caveat emptor, etc.
I think the best machine to start on currently is the ResMed AirSense 10 AutoSet for her. Initially set the pressure to 6-20 cmH2O (min & max). Set EPR to full time @ 1. Once you start using it if you feel "air starved" bump up the minimum by 1 cmH2O until you feel like you can breathe easily, or if you feel like the 6 is too much lower it by 1. After a few days (5-7) look at your data with OSCAR and set your minimum pressure to your multi-day "median" pressure.
