The issue with Gun Counter items is that they are usually always "lose less" items. You buy them ONLY when a gun carry is popping off.

The only thing it really does is make you die slower, and is only really bought when you are behind. Even so, it's more economical to just save for a Curse or just get more damage because most of the gun counter items are PURELY DEFENSIVE. Not to mention that they only work against Gun heroes. Completely useless against a Geist or a Pocket. They are also only effective on frontliners which make them feel absolutely horrendous to buy on any other hero.
