Seriously, the tickets were $16 when I saw them last night in Minneapolis. Kool A.D. and Despot opened, the former was really drunk but put on an okay show, and the latter was funny as fuck and had pretty good energy and I really liked his shit even though I've never really heard of him before. He played most of his new unreleased album, which is 100% produced by Ratatat and all the beats were dirty as fuck.
After the openers, Killer Mike came on and played a 30-ish minute set consisting of stuff from his solo albums, had us chant Fuck Ronald Reagan a few times, and then played R.A.P. Music. El-P came out to do a solo set after that for about 45 minutes, he did some older stuff and a bunch
I took the test last year in October (with writing) and got a 32, with an 8/12 on the writing subscore. I know I can write better than that, but when I took the test again this month, I took it without writing. My results came back today and I did better than I expected (a 35), but I was wondering if it would be worth it/necessary to take the test again with writing just to improve that subscore, or if it doesn't really matter that much to colleges once you prove you're competent. I hope I don't have to take it again since I would assume the application essays would be the true measure of one's writing capabilities, but I'd like a few opinions on the matter before I proceed further.
