Working outside and found a bird nest with babies near an active construction site. I moved the nest to a nearby tree but was wondering if there's something else to do/someone to call to make sure they end up okay with this relocation since I didn't see the mother nearby.

Just as the title asks, I'd like to know if there are any events around Toronto like the GradEx exhibition OCAD hosts every May for their graduating class to display work. More specifically, I'm curious if there are other schools/institutions that host these kinds of exhibitions of student/fresh grad work in a publicly accessible way, whether arts related or not, and which might be of particular interest to people such as high school students who are figuring out what the next couple years of their lives might be dedicated to.

These evening I was leaving work and passed by Yonge and Wellington on my way to catch the GO. I noticed traffic was super backed up because the traffic lights had stopped working and we're just flashing red. Since I don't live in the city, I wanted to know whether 311 or some other city resource is the way to go in terms of reporting issues like this.

Hi there all, long post to follow.

My father raised me almost singlehandedly growing up. With the exception of my grandparents' presence in my younger years, my father was the one who drove me to school everyday, signed me up and shuttled me to classes, and bought things for me. I don't remember a whole lot about my mom being around physically or emotionally in my childhood - I suspected later on depression of some sort and an unhappy marriage.

He grew up in the countryside in a rough period his country's history, and by the sounds of it lived a tough life, which I feel lead to him trying to provide materially and have me develop a lot of different skills in order to be self-sufficient and

First time posting here, please let me know if I'm doing something wrong. It's slightly long, so please bear with me.

I'm a university student who's usually been away from home for basically the last two years due to school and work. My sister lives with our mother - our father's been out of the picture for the last 3-4 years. Since I've not been home much, I only recently began feeling that our mother doesn't parent her fully.

All her material needs are provided for, but it feels like there's no concrete structure or schedule in the house, no clear sense of rules and boundaries. I also feel like there's a certain lack of emotional connection and communication, which is something that's be

I've read the sidebar which states that advertisements aren't allowed. Where would be a good place to post searching for a roommate for my roommate in Saskatoon? Other than Kijiji, which hasn't worked out yet so far.

Hi there, I'm a 2nd year architecture student in a program that alternates between 4 month work terms and 4 month study terms. I'm wondering if there are tips/opinions, from both interns and employers, on applying to firms outside the regular summer internship period since my next work term starts in September this year. Everything I've seen on job boards so far have been for summer internships between May-August.

Would it be better to apply to those postings or just generally through firms' websites and make it clear that I can only start later in fall, and try to at least 'get my name in the system,' or to wait and apply later on? I'm not sure if the first would come off as pushy or 'tak
