I figure this is a relevant topic for many of us, and we could probably learn from each other.

Part of the reason I’m asking is that I have chronic pain in my right hip (trail hip). It’s most pronounced at the beginning of the season, and gets pretty bad if I hit 5-8 drives in row at the range. When playing, by hole 14 it’s uncomfortable to rotate all the way without 600 mg of ibuprofen.

I have been to a physical therapist and some exercises seemed (?) to help. Though I suspect the real reason it got better is just laying off golf.

Unfortunately, I now have discomfort most of the time, especially at the beginning of a walk or other exercise.

I went to the doctor today and her best g

I am having real trouble choosing between Alexander Isak and Joao Pedro.

Isak was a truly great player at Newcastle but obviously due to injury has done next to nothing at Liverpool. But Liverpool is still a top team and you’d expect their now-fit striker to be scoring goals regularly.

Pedro plays in a streaky, unstable Chelsea team, but he himself seems hungry and driven. He has something to prove after being left out of the Brazil squad.

Isak costs 1.5 million more, so to justify choosing him, you’d have to have at least some confidence that he out-scores Pedro.

Problem is, it’s not hard to imagine Pedro outscores Isak. I don’t see a clear divide between them. I’m not a huge stats

I have noticed for the past year or so that my drives are much better if I choose a very high target, like the top of a tree or cell phone tower in the distance, or even a low cloud, rather than aiming at a landing spot in the fairway.

For some reason I can better envision the club face hitting toward a “sky target” and simply get better results. Today I hit a high drawing drive 260 yards, which is a personal best for me.

I’ve not heard or read of this technique anywhere else, so wondering if others have tried this, or if it’s a known strategy.

“I chose to take the name Leo XIV. There are different reasons for this, but mainly because Pope Leo XIII in his historic Encyclical Rerum Novarum addressed the social question in the context of the first great industrial revolution. In our own day, the Church offers to everyone the treasury of her social teaching in response to another industrial revolution and to developments in the field of artificial intelligence that pose new challenges for the defence of human dignity, justice and labour.”

I was hesitant to spunk my Triple Captain chip early in the season and now may have waited too long. What’s the best play?

-Mbuemo vs. Ipswich in GW36 -Marmoush vs. Southampton in GW36 -Wood vs. Leicester in GW36 -Watkins vs. Spurs in GW37 -Salah vs. Brighton GW37 or CP GW38 -Saka or Troussard vs. Southampton in GW38

I’m most tempted by Watkins vs. Spurs because Villa are still playing for something and I think Watkins wants to prove he’s still the main man. And because Spurs look really poor defensively.

Yesterday I bought a 2016 EZGO RXV that the owner had recently upgraded with Dongjin 12V 100Ah LiFePO batteries.

My enthusiastic teens ran the heck out of it and it died in the middle of the road. This model engages a motor brake when the battery dies (very weird design IMO).

I had to haul a generator out to get a partial charge and drive it home. Don’t want to do that again.

I’d like to get a spare battery or battery pack. My idea is that it would be a stand-alone battery I can keep in the battery compartment. It would have a standard charger cable attached so that I can just plug it in and charge the other. Street just enough to get home.

Is this a good idea? Any recommendations?
