Following the ongoing trial of Paul Flores, suspected of murdering his classmate Kristin Smart who went missing from Cal Poly in 1996. Coincidentally, Scott Peterson also went to school with Kristin and Paul. Like everything about Kristin's case, I am beyond frustrated with the decisions being made in the trial where Scott is concerned.

Why is the defense allowed to continuously name drop Scott Peterson, asking witnesses if they ever saw him around Kristin when there has never been evidence of any connection between them? It's clear this is an intentional exploitation of an unrelated, sensationalized murder. I hope the jury will see this but worry that the tactic will work to cast reasonabl

I have a lot of grievances with the company I work for, as do most people I work with. When people leave, they tend to leave in droves. Instead of addressing the problems making people leave, during exit interviews they've started making people sign a document agreeing not to recruit other employees to their new workplace.

I'm currently seeking a new job and do not want to sign this document out of principle. Is there any way I'm legally required to sign it? I intend to ask them directly when presented with the document, but don't trust them to tell me the truth.

Edit: I am in Oregon.
