I just want to rant about what an absolute waste of time, money and resources the US FBI background check is.
A decade ago I moved to Finland. Now I am moving again. My new country wants me to submit background checks from both countries.
To get the Finnish one, I login into a portal using my banking credentials, pay 6€ and I get them the next day.
The US system is just fucked. I have to do my own goddamn finger prints like I’m some 1940’s detective or pay someone here 150€ to do them for me. Then pay a channeling service 100€ to send this shit in for me OR wait a month or longer for processing. Then pay 125€ for some asshole apostille to print this document and walk it to the State Depa
Hey, I live on a street with free public parking and my neighbor across the street runs multiple Airbnbs from their home and recently put up a No Parking sign with threat of towing on a section of street that is for free public parking. Anytime she sees a car parked there, she leaves baseless threatening notes on their car. Who can I report this to? I tried reporting it to LPT but they never responded and was wondering if there’s someone else I can. Hvala.

internations.org/expat-insider/2024/Hey, doing some Christmas shopping and found a Fjalraven Kanken bag for 32€. This seems sus to me as I don't think I've ever seen them cheaper than 75€. Anyone have any experience with HobbyHall? Do they sell knockoffs or could this possibly be legit?
Here's the one in question: https://hobbyhall.fi/fi/lapset/koulutarvikkeet/koulureput-ja-laukut/reppu-fjallraven-kanken-black?id=21469343&mid=25437053

iltalehti.fi/kotimaa/a/77a28de4-9d9a-41e8-a33...At my workplace we are provided to opportunity to transfer our lomaraha vacation bonus to extra vacation days. This year, I will have 30 summer vacation days and a week for winter vacation and have the opportunity to transfer my lomaraha for 15 extra days. I really dislike my job and would like to quit soon but had been waiting to collect my summer vacation time first.
I'm trying to figure out if I should I keep the bonus or transfer the bonus for the additional days. I was wondering if the bonus is taxed differently so the take home would be less, or if I should take the extra time off since then those 15 days would be for my regular pay. I'd imagine I'd have to use those days prior to qu
For the 10+ years I've owned this 87 Centurion, my rear brake has been on my left, and my front brake on my right. I just brought it to the mechanic to get the brake cables replaced (pretty disappointed they didn't ask if I wanted to stick with white like I had originally) and the mechanic reversed the handles to the correct way, so now my left controls my front brake and my right controls the rear.
I'm way to used to riding the way I have, so is it easily possible for me to just slide the brake handle off and switch them? Or do I need to bring it back to the mechanic?
Thanks
[My brakes look like this. I'm not seeing anywhere I can unscrew something to get them to move. All I really have
I live in Helsinki. My gf lives in Slovenia. She will be visiting me October 24 to November 6th. She just got an email today that her return flight via Ryanair from Helsinki to Venice on November 6th has been cancelled. She wants to have them reroute rather than refund but Ryanair stops flights between Helsinki and Venice for the season and November 6th was one of the last flights on that route. What are her options now? Is Ryanair required to book her on another airline?
