I’m seeing Eric Hutchinson at Ludlow Garage on Nov 9. I’ve never been, and know it’s a small venue with assigned seating. I have something else (for my daughter’s school) earlier in the evening, but don’t have exact details or times. We are in the ‘burbs, so it’ll be about a 30 min drive to get there.

If my daughter’s school thing butts up against the concert, I would be late, obviously. Is it the kind of venue where I should plan to be in my seat when the show starts because of the assigned seating, or would it be ok to be late and come in during a song break?

I just want to make sure I’m not accidentally being a dick.

Name for Baby #3

Baby Names

My husband and I have a daughter named Cecilia June and a son named Simon Thomas. I am pregnant with another girl, but we’re having some trouble settling on a name.

We’d like to use Nicole or Josephine (family names) as a middle name, and want to stay away from C names if the middle name is Josephine. My husband’s and daughter’s initials are both CJ, and we’re not trying to make that a thing.

We also want to stay away from top-20 names since my husband and I both have very common names for our ages. I tend to prefer old fashioned names that aren’t terribly trendy yet (think not Hazel, Cora, etc). Both of our kids’ names are in the mid-100 rankings for the years they were born.

Before we found out I was pregnant with a boy, we really liked the name Asa, which is a family name on my side. We have since cooled on the name, but it’s not out of the question for us.

Recently, names we’ve liked have all had associations we’re not crazy about — we know other babies / toddlers with the name, it’s super popular right now (which we’d like to avoid), etc. So I’m hoping to crowd source name options! We like classic names that are not terribly common.

Baby’s middle name will be Thomas, big sister is Cecilia June, and last name is a single syllable that starts with an S. We like (but will not use) Rowan, Noah, Oliver, Owen, and Joshua.

We are finishing a room in our basement right now and have had two contractors back out for one reason or another. We need someone reliable to hang the drywall ASAP. Any recommendations? I’ve tried Olympic, A-1, Majestic, etc.

STM+ moms still nursing?

Nursing/Pumping/Formula

I’m still nursing my 16.5 month old (the hope is to make it to 18 months). Anyone else here still nursing another kid? Would love to get a feel for some weaning strategies, etc.

My husband and I have a daughter named Cecilia June, and just learned I am pregnant again. We are pretty well settled on a boy name (Asa Thomas), but having trouble with another girl’s name.

Names we like but aren’t totally sold on: Penelope, Alice, Rosalie, Annalise. What other names fit with this vibe but aren’t on our list yet?

I feel extremely stupid for this. When I was in college (so probably circa 2008/2009?) my grandpa gave me some money with the direction that I do some research and invest it in stocks. I did, and I remember it was a medical supply company with a German-ish sounding name whose code began with S. That’s all I remember. I most likely used my university email to purchase, but I don’t have access to it anymore. I also don’t remember what site I purchased it through.

Is there a way to recover this, using my social or something? I honestly have no clue where to go, except working with my university to regain access to my archived email, which I plan on working on this week. It was only a few hund
