Made quite a few mods to my Hunter and I thought I'd give my opinion on them in case anyone is looking to mod their bike. I understand the arguments about just getting a bigger or different bike but I don't want a different bike. This one fits me well and I'm having fun seeing what I can get out of this one and making it my own.

Resale value is probably pretty much destroyed at this point and the mods are just sunk cost so, if that matters to you, I would recommend keeping it stock. It's still an awesome bike straight out of the dealership.

Performance mods I've made in order of being added:

Hey guys, quick question for you. Hoping someone can give me the benefit of their experience.

I have a Hunter which has a squeaky brake issue. I pull out the pads, clean them off, sand them a bit, clean off the rotor with some contact cleaner, reassemble and everything is perfect and non-squeaky... for an hour.

I'm riding around in the city of nice clean roads, no rain or gravel, etc. and I'm not riding the rear brake to glaze it up (in fact I've deliberately been using the front where I would normally use the rear) so I'm at a loss to understand why it reverts back to squeaking so quickly. Disassembling and fixing up the rear brake every 2 days is getting very annoying but not as annoyin

Currently on a VC84 at 2.5wl (second Velo after previously being on a 96) and I’m going to order a VK with a view to jumping it after Nationals in March. I have access to jump a VK84 but not a 79 and it’s difficult to get a demo here in Aus so I’m in two minds which size to order.

I’m just wondering what other’s experiences were when moving to the VK. Did you downsize and are happy with your choice, stay the same and happy with your choice, stay the same and wish you’d downsized, etc.

For context, I almost exclusively do CP and about 400 H&Ps per year. I compete in the Open category although, given I’m in with some of the world’s best on tiny Petra’s, HKs and Peregrines, I’m definitely wel

We're in lockdown here in Sydney so I took the opportunity to do a project I've wanted to do for a while. I bought an old Hiace and built it out for weekends skydiving once the dropzone opens back up.

I definitely made some mistakes and still have little things to fix up at some point (curtains above the splashback, art on the left wall, etc.) but, having no experience with this sort of thing, I'm actually pretty stoked with how it turned out.

Poor phone pictures and wrinkled cushion cover, sorry. Hope to get some better pictures at some point. Now just waiting for the reopening in a week's time :)

Hello comrades.

I have a removable slider to VFX2 specs (75cm wide by 64cm deep) on my Crossfire 3 129 which was off-the-recordish recommended by NZA but I’d like to use it on my Katana 120. Anyone tried this?

The Katana specs are 80cm by 52cm so slightly wider by shallower and about 15% smaller overall. Based on past experience with custom Sabre sliders, I’d imagine the extra depth would slow the openings down but it could also provide for less predictable openings - something the Katana already provides in spades lol. My assumptions may be wrong.

I’ll get my test pilot on by doing some hop and pops initially anyway but just interested if anyone has any experience with this?
