I have a few automations set up in Apple Home that use the "Get Contents of URL" action to send push messages to my iPhone via Pushover.
Ever since updating to tvOS 27 Public Beta, these have just flat-out failed to work. If I run a test from my iPhone or Mac, the shortcut works fine, but not from the automation of the Apple TV. It doesn't seem to be limited to Pushover either, as no other URLs seem to work.
Is this down for everyone else too? Or just a problem with my system requiring a reset? I've raised it with Apple in their Feedback app, but it still keeps failing on every Public Beta release.
I'm currently on the fence about buying a Gaggia Brera. I like that the unit is shorter than most super autos, water & coffee grounds are accessed from the front, simple to use, and uses a wand instead of a milk system which requires cleaning.
Reading Amazon reviews, I can see a regular complaint is that it leaks water all over the counter. Does anyone here have a Brera that doesn't leak? Not sure if I'm just seeing all the minority of complaints.
If anyone knows of a better super automatic that isn't too tall (have restricted space over counter) and has a milk wand, I'd love to hear about it. I've looked at Jura, etc - nice machines, but they are all too bulky, or missing wands.
I’ve been having the same issue as May on here, with interrupted song downloads remaining at the top of the queue, preventing further songs from downloading. I’ve managed to find a technique to clear the queue on iOS. Well, it works for me at least, without having to delete the app and remove all the other successfully downloaded songs.
- Find the song that is stuck and play part of it, a few seconds will do
- Force quit Tidal
- Go to Settings > General > iPhone Storage > Tidal
- Swipe left to delete any file that has “partially watched” in its description underneath its name
- Start Tidal and resume downloads.
Hope it works for you too.
OK I'm going to make a confession. As an unrepentant glutton, I love 18:6. It gives me carte blanche to eat three full meals, plus snacks, in the space of six hours. It's like a nymphomaniac getting all-inclusive access to a brothel for a few hours.
Anyone similar?
I live rurally, with the nearest town being 5 or so miles away. It’s perfectly possible to use my 6-speed C-Line to get between places, but with rural roads being what they are (potholes, patches of gravel, crumbling shoulders, rough surfaces), I am looking for a more comfortable ride and to enjoy some local recreational routes.
The G-Line looks like the ticket, and it’d be nice to benefit from a little motor assistance every now and then, especially on windy days on steep ascents. However, I’d also like to be able to take the G-Line on multi day tours where I don’t have to worry about a battery or the extra weight of a motorised wheel.
Is it feasible to order an electric G-Line and have a
We have a set of Fissler Profi saucepans and a set of De Buyer carbon steel frying pans for using on our induction hob. I am looking for recommendations for other good quality low/non-stick frying pans for when I’m feeling lazy and don’t feel like cleaning the carbon steel ones with oil. The De Buyers are fantastic, but some weeknights after a day’s work, I’d love to have an easy non-stick pan to cook with that I can then just put in the dishwasher. The dog would also love this as he runs out of the kitchen at the hint of smoke!
Ideally, the pan would be:
- Non to low stick so things don’t burn so easily to the bottom
- Tough, so the surface doesn’t peel off, and I can use metal instruments

bbc.com/news/articles/cn7lnny4y0moA new record? I wanted some headphones I could use to listen to podcasts and light music without totally isolating myself whilst walking my dog in the forest, and the LinkBuds seemed like just the ticket.
I really enjoyed using them, but today the right one randomly stopped working. Checked balance, factory reset, tested with multiple devices -- nope. And I was really careful with them after hearing how fragile others have found theirs.
I'm not a Sony user and this was me dipping my toes into the whole Sony headphones space. Shame they made such a disposable product. Rumors are Apple are releasing their new Airpods on Sept 9 so might just have to get some of those, at least I know they'll
I have Tidal installed on my iPhone and have a few playlists and albums downloaded for when I’m travelling through mobile blackspots.
When I start Tidal when I don’t have an internet connection, it gives me a little pink message. All my downloaded playlists and albums are just grey album icons, and most don’t contain any songs. If I try to play any that do have songs, Tidal gives me another pink error message.
The whole purpose of downloading songs is to be able to play them when offline. Is anyone else having the same issues?
I moved my family to Tidal from Spotify, and we’re generally happy, but this could be a dealbreaker if Tidal can’t get it working properly.
This is a film from back in the 1990s or 2000s. It is (from memory) set in the US, when the southern states have gotten so hot that people are migrating to the northern states. The people that live in New England are the lucky ones, and the imagery of the stifling heat that people from the south are escaping is really memorable. Here we are 20-30 years later, and real life probably isn’t too far off.
