yo chicago food! valentine’s day is coming up and i’d like to take my wife and six month old out on a date that week (going out a day before or after to avoid the rush). looking for a spot that is good and slightly nicer but a kiddo won’t be looked sideways at. in west town / ukrainian village but down to travel anywhere.

I first started thinking this when they separated The Ringer and his pod’s youtube feeds, especially cuz he made an awkwardly big deal about it after the fact. He’s also changed his twitter bio to note that he’s the Ringer founder in a way that seems more suspicious than before.

My guess is that he’s gonna cut a deal with Spotify to keep doing his pod as an affiliate and leave the company otherwise. The way he’s talked about The Ringer lately on the pod sounds introspective and like a man on his way out. And maybe it’s just the Conspiracy Bill in me but I also anecdotally feel like he’s brought up a lot of examples of people needing to know when to leave a situation recently.

Hey all,

Moving to DC from Boston next month. One of the things I love most about our neighborhood now is how close it is the Coolidge, an old school theatre with great programming. Seeing stuff like Seven Samurai or North by Northwest in 35mm is the best and I'm sure there are spots that do similar showings in DC. I've heard and checked out the website for Suns Cinema which looks great! Any others?

I'll be living in Columbia Heights, so preferably close but definitely willing to travel.
