I completely understand why players dive, but I've never watched a sport where players are constantly on the ground screaming and writhing in pain.

There have been times where I genuinely thought they were going to carried out on a stretcher, but then 2 minutes later they're running like nothing happened.

A receiver catches a 40yd pass in the 4th Q to the opposing teams 10yd lin with 15 sec left. Also, they're down 21-20 and have no timeouts.

So, the offense rushes to the line to spike the ball and let the kicker make the gaming winning kick.

However, the receiver got concussed on the long pass and is desperately trying to run off the field but is clearly wobbling and stumbling. So, would the refs blow the whistle for the injured player which would trigger the 10sec runoff and end the game? Or would they allow the clearly concussed player to make it to the sideline so his team could spike the ball?
