Anyone else have issues with ridiculously high CPU usage when idle? This is on a Macbook Pro, 2017. Just launching the app and connecting to an offline mix, and then doing nothing, MixingStation is using 25% to 35% CPU. That's a LOT of CPU for doing squat! The Macbook gets hot and the fan starts whirring. For comparison, MasterFader only uses 0.8% CPU when idle.

The battery burn is not as extreme on my iPad under the same conditions & setup, but it's still almost twice as much as MasterFader.

Scheduled dep 5:15, now estimated 7:55. No reason given.

I flew out of Oakland on 7/30, and a number of SWA gates (departing) did a full gate change shuffle. In the middle of all this, there was a SWA being towed, very slowly, off the runway by a tug with an escort of several other vehicles, including a flashing fire truck bringing up the rear. Pretty sure it was an arriving flight, but there was no word about the incident. No flames, no smoke, no visible damage, but I'm assuming there was some reason they couldn't taxi into the gate under their own power. Maybe even just a safety precaution dictated by a misbehaving indicator.

Anyone from that flight, or otherwise, know anything about this?

On Roku, the app won't even load. I get the snarky "Somthing is wrong... good luck figuring something out" error. I've tried the usual fixes - deleting, rebooting, reinstalling, etc - but nothing fixes it. Been this way for days now.

The same is true of the iOS app for any eps that require a login. Clicking the login button does nothing. Maybe their login system is down? For multiple days?

Is the Shelly LoRa addon compatible with other (non-Shelly) LoRa transceiver devices, such as a LoRa button remote, or the Rayax RYLR998 ?

I have a basic LoRa button remote that controls an in-wall switch relay. It is, by far, the most reliable wireless system on my property, going easily through buildings, trees, ext. The only downside is that the receiver/relay is not a smart device, so monitoring/automation/scripting is not an option.

I would like to replace the relay with a Shelly (with LoRa addon) while continuing to use the convenient (and inexpensive) LoRa remote with this circuit.

I'm familiar with Plus Uni's digital input and output sections, however I'm unable to configure and read the analog input. The web UI shows only two digital inputs plus one counter input. Similarly, using http to query the inputs, I only get valid responses for inputs 0 thru 2, corresponding to the above mentioned inputs. I'm not using Shelly cloud or the Shelly app, as all of my interactions with the Plus Uni are via http, internal scripts, or the web UI. I checked the documentation but haven't found (or missed) how to do this.

Looking for the music/artist in a bump I saw last night (Monday, Mar 17 2025) with two large grain/storage silos in the background on the left and a rising sun on the right over a flat and mostly empty landscape. The whole scene was bathed in a dark orange tint.

I just glanced at the TV and thought that's what I saw. Maybe it's new? Maybe I'm hallucinating.

I don't know why I'm posting this, maybe to rant, maybe to see if others have had similar experiences, maybe to get some kind of validation that I'm not crazy?

I recently applied for an engineering position at a well known and respected company. I received a request for a screening interview, and we set a date/time. Of their new material, this song is the one that hits deepest for me, and a big part of that has been Reeves' wailing-tears solo. Robert's solo at this show was lovely, but it just didn't have the same impact for me. Wonder why they changed it up? Hope it's not a permanent switch... or at least split the diff and give them give each a go.

I'm building an irrigation controller based on ESPHome Sprinkler, and rather than going the common route of esp32 dev board + multi-relay board + power supply(s), I was thinking of using one of these esp32 relay combo boards. It has AC and DC power options, an esp32-WROOM-32E module, and 4 relays. Pretty much everything I need, except for maybe a 24vAC -> 5vDC converter, which I would need anyway.

I'm wondering what people's experiences are with these combo boards. Any downsides or hidden gotchas? Will they take ESPHome just as well as a typical esp32 dev board (I've used the DOIT esp32 devkt v1 boards for tinkering and development)?

I can't find any info in the Shelly docs on how to use template literals in Shelly scripts. When I execute code with a template literal, I get an error:

print(`Hello ${name}`);
Uncaught SyntaxError: Got TEMPLATE LITERAL expected EOF

How can I get this to work?
