Greetings, all. I've been offered a position in Parkersburg and I'm considering relocating from the eastern portion of Maryland to take the job. Can anyone share their thoughts on the city or other areas very close by that could be options? I love the wilderness and rugged living. If it were up to me I'd be in a small cabin on 200 acres in the middle of nowhere. My wife, however, prefers nice restaurants, some semblance of nightlife, shopping, museums, etc., etc.....
We're about 45 minutes from Baltimore but we never venture downtown, outside of working hours, because of the levels of crime and violence. Seen "The Wire?" Yeah, it's that bad. It seems crime is extremely low in Parkersburg
