I’m a Senior Development Editor who has recently been expanding my skill set into AI prompting and video generation to better support my projects. Because of this, On occasion I've been asked to assist another department with their video-generation needs as well.

As a salaried employee, this work falls outside my original job responsibilities as a Development Editor. With my performance review approaching, I’m planning to request a raise, but I’m unsure of the best approach:

  • Should I request a salary increase and an updated title such as “Senior Development Editor and AI Prompt Specialist” to reflect the expanded responsibilities?

I'm a trailer/sizzle editor looking to upgrade my sfx library with more cinematic effects (Intros, Outros, Builds, Risers, Drum breaks, Whooshes, etc) Not looking for Foley sounds.

Spots I create sometimes end up on air, so needs to be Royalty Free or Licensed effects (Nothing stolen/free)

Anyone have any recommendations on these or other libraries?

I restarted my system and now my Avid interface is way to bright. Going into the interface settings its on its darkest setting but looks faded/white instead of dark. All other programs are fine, so its not my monitor, specifically in avid... I close and restarted my system again but still looks faded. Any ideas?

What types of videos are you creating? How much are you charging per video? Do you have several clients? I was going to pitch to a local restaurant to create shorts for their IG channel but unsure they'd go for it. Just wanting to get some more info to actually put a pitch together.

Cheers!
