For the Park Chan-wook screenings they’re hosting at the National Museum of Art, how strict are they about the tickets? My friend doesn’t have a ticket for the Decision to Leave showing on the 28th, but if we get there early will they let her in without one?

On the website it says tickets are recommend but my ticket confirmation email makes it seem like tickets are required.

What were people’s experiences at the previous screenings in regard to entry? Thank you so much!

I grew up going to Catholic school before college, so I have had past experience reading the Bible, but not for the purpose of studying literature or the experience of reading it as literature. I’m looking to do that with a more keen eye now that I’m an older, better reader lol Not looking for anything too in-depth, but I want to branch out in my free time and would love to hear what others recommend.

I’ve read Paradise Lost without extensively reading Genesis, but it’s been awhile since I’ve read Milton’s riffing of the material too. I’m planning on actually reading Genesis this time, and then the synoptic Gospels like Matthew, Mark, and Luke (also John too, eventually). Does anyone have

Does anyone have any detailed or extensive academic articles dating Shakespeare's Sonnets in terms of one another?

I have been searching myself, and I found Alfred Harbage's Dating Shakespeares's Sonnets the most helpful so far. I've been looking at several articles on JSTOR, but none of them have been as detailed as I hoped for. I'm going to keep reading and looking, but if anyone has extensively studied the sonnets and has a favorite resource for referencing when one sonnet could have been written before another, it would be very appreciated! Thank you!

Ordered some skins with the premium shipping mark-up to at least get it shipped faster, but the 1-3 business day processing promised by the premium shipping hasn’t happened yet:/ already sent out a request to the robots on the contact form and an email, but has anybody actually experienced a faster shipping experience through the premium?

For economic reasons, we’re taking an Amtrak to NYC to see an exclusive 70mm screening of a film at 10 AM, but the train gets to NYC at 2 AM. What’s to do there from 2-10 AM? I’m looking around and there’s cafes open at 9, but anywhere open earlier? Also we can’t do bars or clubs because one of us is under 21. Thanks!

Recently read Martyr! by Kaveh Akbar and thoroughly enjoyed it. I’ve read a lot of queer fiction (contemporary and classics) where the protagonist being queer mainly drives the narrative, but what I liked most about Martyr! was that it was a novel about other facets of life before it was a queer novel, if that makes sense. I’d like to read more stories with broad themes surrounding a character or characters who happen to be queer, so if anyone has any recommendations that’d be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Full disclosure, I am nineteen years old, and I have no intention of underage drinking at the bar part of the theater. Just want to see a screening of a film, but I noticed the "No one under 21 permitted without a parent" policy while buying a ticket.

How strict is the parent part? I have a friend who is 21, and I was thinking of seeing the film with him, but I was wondering if they wouldn't let me in even with someone 21 because they aren't my parent. First time going to this theater since my usual indie place in D.C. (E Street) closed. Thanks!

Any magazine stores in Baltimore that’d have a recent release of the winter issue of a magazine? I’m going to be honest, I don’t buy physical magazines usually and I’m young enough that I didn’t grow up with them lol I’m just on the hunt for one in particular but not sure where to look.

Should I be checking like Barnes and Nobles and other regular chain bookstores? I know Normal’s has magazines, but not sure if they only carry older issues because they’re a used bookstore. Any suggestions would be appreciated; thanks!

Potentially looking into getting an English PhD. Not quite sure yet because I'm still a second year, but I do know graduate schools like it when students know two other languages outside of English. Would I still be a strong candidate for grad school apps studying Latin and Ancient Greek in undergrad or am I better off pursuing languages like Spanish or French?
