Hi! I work in a creative field and often apply for individual grants. A lot of them always ask if you are disabled. I know that UC is a disability in the social security/government sense, but as a person in remission I sometimes feel guilty checking the box or don’t check it. Certainly when I am having a bad flair/when I was hospitalized I feel disabled, but in remission no.

How do you feel about UC as disability? What are your thoughts on ethics of applying for grants and opportunities specifically for disabled people?

Synergy Financial Scam?

My brother is getting heavily involved with Synergy Financial and it seems like a major scam to me. He’s only 22 and hasn’t even finished school yet and they are trying to hire him as some sort of broker/salesperson. They pose it as some sort of life insurance/IRA combo, but this doesn’t seem like a real thing, or if it is, I don’t understand it.

I am worried for him to get involved in it but I don’t know enough about actual investing to tell if it is a scam or not. I cannot find hardly anything online about them except one post here and an F rating from the BBB.

Can you help me understand more? Thank you!

Hi! My brother has been recruited into a company called Synergy Financial and I am 99.99% certain it is an MLM but I don’t really have proof. When I google them almost nothing comes up and their website is sketchy. I built my first pc here: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/49pJNc and after a few months I believe the power supply has completely given out. I shut down the computer and unplugged it when it left on a trip for Christmas, then when I came home and plugged it back in to start it up I saw a very tiny flash of light when I hit the power button and then nothing happened. (Not sure if the light was my RBGs or what)

I’ve checked the outlet, the cable from my power supply to the outlet, and the cables from the power supply to the mother board, and the cables from the motherboard to power button. The tiny LEDs on my motherboard don’t even light up, so am I safe to assume the power supply is just shot

When you break up with someone or get a new partner, is it weird to wear the same lingerie with your new partner? Do you throw the old stuff out? Sometimes it’s expensive and I don’t want to throw it out but it feels weird to wear the same things with different partners.
