Hi everyone! I am currently in Teacher's College, and the more I think about it, the more I feel as though I want to pursue teaching in French, whether as a Core French teacher or in FI when I graduate. Originally, I got the idea because I know job prospects are better, however, I am fluent in French and quite passionate about it, so why not!

The problem is, anyone I have spoken to has told me how bad it is to teach, how I will regret it, kids hate it, etc. Obviously, this is a bit discouraging but I feel like with my passion I could still make it fun for myself and students.

Does anyone here teach French and actually have positive stories? Merci!

I looked this up on this sub, but am having trouble finding anything more recent. What are the chances of a strike this fall? I am hearing so many mixed things.

I am currently attending my BeD program (PJ) in English, however I do wish to teach french in some capacity when I graduate. I have been poking around at French board job postings, and they don't seem to require the BeD to be done in French, but I have heard people say this before. Are there specific AQs you need to teach in a french board? Just curious about my options later on!! Thank you all

I'll be attending uni in the fall to become a teacher. I want a bag that will take me through classes, practicum, and my career.

Ideally it would be able to fit my laptop (15.6 inches), my lunchbag, a planner, and a couple of books.

I see mixed reviews online as to whether the ECB would fit my laptop as it is on the bigger side. But then I am worried that the SCCO would be too big. Thoughts?

I've been focusing on my health and fitness over the last year and feeling good about myself. I have been tracking all my macros but one thing I can't get past is the anxiety and dread I get when it comes to eating food away from home (or from what I have packed from home). It is to the point where I am avoiding family gatherings and visiting my partner's home because I don't want to be in a situation where I am not in control of what I eat. I'm so frustrated because I never was like this before but it's causing me a lot of distress.

I am on the hunt for good fanfics within this fandom, but am having trouble finding anything good on Ao3. I am open to any pairings with Cloud and I enjoy a longer fic with a good plot! Any reccomendations are appreciated!!

I have been consistently losing weight over the past 7 months and am down nearly 55 lbs overall (SW: 245 CW: 191). I have been pretty consistent about eating in a deficit daily, but whenever there is a social event or holiday, I struggle and end up eating over maintenance by 1000-2000 calories. Looking back at my tracking app, I have days like this at least a few times a month, sometimes more. I mostly pay attention to my weekly average calories, which usually remain in a deficit, but a much smaller deficit than if I hadn't had those days.

I feel discouraged because I often see online or talking to people IRL, people say they don't have high-calorie days like this (or cheat meals) at all or

I just got my mini cooler to use as a lunch bag. I haven't seen too many people talk about them. Do people like this bag? How has it held up, if you have one.
