Does anyone have a 5os PB that they are willing to trade? I'm not having much luck finding one!
I've gone nuts trying to find Dracul's Grasp. I'd be happy to trade for one if anyone has it.
Hey all,
I've been lurking in this sub for a while now, but this is my first post. I come seeking help in DD2, specifically regarding the duelist. I'm not sure I'm grasping a good understanding of the proper execution of her skill kit and paths. What are some good recommendations for skill loadouts/paths, and team compositions for her? I'm trying to understand it!
Hey all,
I'm running the AP Reign of Winter, and we're part way through book 3. I know there's already reddit posts and whatnot on the subject, but people often have changing opinions, or they run APs and then have advice for people afterwards, long after the original post is archived. For those of you who have run the AP before, or have played it, what are some highlights, and what are some things that ought to be changed?
Personally, as the GM for this group, I've leaned away from the meat-grinder aspect as much as possible. I liked the intro, but the trek into the woods was mainly "Go here, fight thing. Continue on path, fight new thing, continue on path, fight another new thing". Of
Hello gang,
Last night, my group played a session of the Reign of Winter campaign. We've been enjoying its themes so far, and its been fun (if not a little railroady). Anyways, the group went full on monster mash when making their characters. The group is made up of a tiefling, a ratfolk, a goblin, and a dhampir. The issue is that the Goblin is the group cleric, and she's a cleric of Pharasma. Last night, the group came upon a pair of huecuvas in the ruins of an ancient temple of Desna. After destroying them, the cleric scanned the area with Detect Undead just to be sure that there were no missed enemies. Well, surprise surprise, the Dhampir who had been hiding her identity got made ou
Hello,
I ordered a bestiary from Paizo, and they sent the wrong one! I asked if I could have the one I wanted sent and they said it was out of stock. For context, I ordered (yes, this was available on the website), a hardcover copy of the 1e bestiary 1. I received a copy of the 2e bestiary.
Would anyone be interested in swapping? It's a brand new mint condition bestiary for 2e! I will take a used copy of the 1e first bestiary. Mine is so tattered that the cover has fallen off :(
Hi all,
I have a quick question regarding the spell Insanity. It says it can be cured by greater restoration/heal/miracle, etc. If a cleric is of sufficient level is traveling with the party, or is themself targeted by insanity... is there really a point to casting insanity? It seems that anyone with access to a level 4 spell (greater restoration) can dispel Insanity, which is a 7th level spell.
Hi all,
I'm sure I'm not the only/first person to have this question;
I have a player who wants an ioun stone and a wayfinder. The ioun stone they want is a cracked vibrant purple prism stone. Does this stone benefit from the wayfinder? How can I tell if any flawed/cracked stones function in wayfinders?
Thanks
Hi all,
I am going to be starting book 6 of Second Darkness with one of my groups. I know I have to rebuild many of the NPCs for PF1E, such as a few drow NPCs. I've read through the encounters and the mechanics behind the glyphs. Are there any GMs here who have run this campaign that had to make any major alterations to this chapter? I've heard a mix of people making minor changes here and there, and some folks basically overhauling the whole thing.
Hi folks,
For those of you who have played/run Second Darkness, what (if anything) have you changed in the AP? My group just got past the final Elf Gate last session and are trucking through to Thorn's End. Are there any commonly done/accepted alterations to the AP at this point? I beefed up and added some encounters at almost all of the previous Elf Gates to throw some cool challenges their way, but I'm at a loss for what's to come. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.
Hello!
I'm building an item for a character in my second darkness campaign. I was just wondering what people's thoughts on it were, and if you've ever built an item for your players before.
For context: a player is playing a fighter, and has loaded up his feats and abilities to help with some insane AC. He has a magical shield, some kick ass armor, and a pair of boots of springing and striding, helping him to not essentially be immobile. He's a svirfneblin, and also has a ring of protection +2, and some other things as well. Anyways, he doesn't do a whole lot of damage (the other fighter is there for that!), but his AC is insane. At level 11, his AC is something like 37, with all of these
I was thinking about something a player brought up, and I didn't have an immediate RAW answer;
Can you cast comprehend languages after hearing something belted out in a foreign language, make a memory check, and thereby understand what was said after the fact? How do my fellow GMs deal with this one?
