Looks like the [old makerspace] shutdown after a very short life. Is there a new one hidden in an engineering basement or something? Would be nice to have a space with some soldering stations, pick-n-place, cnc, and some scopes.
Thoughts?

Reminder to wallet developers and custodial services, please record payment-hash and preimage for outgoing and incoming payments. Technically it's only required for outgoing payments, but it seems nice and symmetric to record it on both.
Any invoice is proven payed if the sender has the preimage. The pr
I had some LN channels on Testnet that I wanted to close out. The channel reserve was low so the close TXN didn't have enough of a fee to make it into the mempool. So I crafted a CPFP, and found a testnet node tbtc1.trezor.io that was accepting low fee TXNs to insert the pair. Worked fine, but I noticed the pair are not propagating through the network very quickly and was curious as to why.
So... what
I can see how to pay with almost any ETH/EVM combo, but it's not obvious how to spend BTC, DOGE, or LTC. Only options seem to be link to CB-Wallet, Rabby-Wallet, and Metamask-Wallet.
Do you have to link to your Coinbase exchange account to pay LTC / BTC / DOGE on CB-Commerce? Seems silly.
I realize that non-listening nodes may contribute nothing to the security or stability of the bitcoin network, but it may still be a curious metric as to the adoption rate or global interest of bitcoin in general. I see plenty of reports that will count the listening nodes by "walking" the bitcoin network. But I can't find many sources for the number of non-listening nodes. Perhaps it is simply a number that can't be counted.
I see some of the DNS seed nodes count new requests, and I assume they somehow age these out after a while, but is there any consensus as to how many nodes (listening or not) there are out there. I see Luke's report (~90k), but no others.
Since ChatGPT, Gemini and a few other AI chat-bots hit the market, I've been fascinated with their progress, and their increasing scores on Turing and IQ tests. At this point I usually assume that most text-based support at scale is likely leveraging an AI service.
Two hallmarks of AI are usually their complete inability to react emotionally, and there inability to be reasoned with. To that point, I suspect that much of the CB-ticket support is AI based.
Since it's been well over 7 years since I opened a CB ticket, this is a rather new development. But it might help to put things into perspective. You won't reason with an AI tasked to do one particular thing. It will just politely ask

Here's hoping they don't start scaring off CashApp, Kraken, or Coinbase. I wouldn't put it past them at this point.
No, the rollout hasn't hit me yet. But while I wait, I was thinking about how it will likely look on the site. Here's my guess:

LN-Address could easily be interpreted as a CB-Email address send.
Years ago, when CashApp launched, it took many weeks for the roll
