I'm looking for local shops with cool, unique eyewear. I've been to enough Sunglass Huts, Lenscrafters, Warby Parkers, and the typical mall stores. I think their collections are a bit boring. I'm looking for both sunglasses and eyeglasses that are a little unique (stores like Retro Super Future in Silver Lake or Dan Deutsch Optical in West Hollywood). Location doesn't matter as long as it's within an hour of Hollywood. Budget is $1k for two pairs since my insurance covers it. Any suggestions?

I’ve done MOMA, The Met, New Museum, and Whitney. I’m looking for museums that are similar in size and scale that I can get lost in for a few hours. Exhibitions don’t matter, as long as it’s modern/contemporary art. I mainly want to stick to locations in Manhattan and Brooklyn.
