I've been screwed on a move before, when I got quoted $3000 over the phone, and the movers showed up, loaded, and said it would actually be $6000, leaving me in a hell of a predicament. I'd prefer that this not happen again, and wonder if anyone has any tips or insider insight on how best to decide on a moving company that will do the work for the price they quote?
