After a couple trips on KE and SQ, it makes me wonder if Delta could match Asian carriers in soft product, if Ed so chose.
The ground staff and cabin crew attitudes, for one.
Delta isn’t unionized here, wouldn’t they have more flexibility to employ more motivated ( read “younger” ) crews.
Properly clean cabins.
Serve food even on 2 hour flights.
Not that much $ for a “premium” airline.
I get that AMEX makes the $ but people wanting to fly Delta wouid increase credit card penetration, no?
Really this would not be a huge cost, either.
Especially instilling something like a customer service focus. It goes a long way.

KE 437 was 10 min late pushing from ICN.
Captain made an announcement at scheduled departure time and apologized ( delay was ATC )

KE requires shades UP during takeoff and landing

If you fall asleep and are asleep during meal / drink service, even in Economy, FAs will note and when you awake, offer you the service

KE blocks main cabin exit until Prestige etc has deplaned.

KE 773s have forward and downward facing cameras that actually work. Cool to be able to see “three green” PAPIs on landing.

For reference I’m getting 2x the miles and MQDs on return flight CGK-ICN which is not DL marketed than the outbound leg which is not, both are visible to Delta on single PNR.

Flight I’m looking at ATL to SCL is quite a bit cheaper if booked via LATAM vs Delta.
It’s a Delta operated flight, looking at Premium Business which corresponds to D1.
I’m Diamond, would of course supply my Delta Skymiles number.
Any reason(s) not to do this?

Time to retire the 75s.

Three consecutive 75s broken on my travel today - original and two replacements.

My experience is KLM agents handling Delta flights in AMS cannot always be relied upon for the 24-hours-out PS to D1 upgrade when GUC was applied to get PS.

Anyone have experience of how well this works in MXP?

Who handles gate for Delta flights out of MXP?

Spouse is Canadian, never worked or resided in U.S.

Does not have SSN or ITIN.

Under totalization agreement between Canada and US she will be eligible for 1/2 my FRA benefit at her FRA.

Will SSA assign a non-work SSN?

At time of benefit application or can we apply in advance?

Looked into ITIN but I file MFS and never claim her as dependent, so IRS is not going to assign an ITIN, as far as I can determine.

Well aware of iOS 26 issues in general. Anyone had issues with IBM related stuff like Maas360, Mail, Slack, Salesforce, Concur, Teans, various 2FA stuff?

The App is missing my last SM credits ( all on KLM ) but the Website and Amex App have the correct balance and under Recent Activity in App the miles posting is there??? WTAF Delta IT? Anyone else have this issue?

Thought: When making upgrade offers, Delta should offer them in status sequence : 360, Diamond, Platinum, Gold, Silver.. Price can be different based on whatever Delta uses, presumably paid cabin and fare. Notify by text or E-mail and set a ( short ) fixed time before offer is extended to next lower status group. Not saying you should get an offer based on status, just an earlier crack at an offer, if they are going to make one applicable to your paid cabin and fare.

I realize Delta IT would struggle with this.

If you register your rental car licence plate in the app ( as you must ) make sure you remove it when you return the rental car.

Otherwise your credit card will be billed for the next renter’s parking adventures.

EasyPark is completely unsympathetic and won’t refund.

If you parked without registering, EasyPark will bill your rental company who will bill you ( after adding a fat fee ) - so their company line about GDPR preventing them from tracking down the actual renter is bullshit. They can’t be bothered.

Anyone know, or have a link, to access rules for the ICN KAL Prestige lounge? Specifically, if I arrive at 17:20, and depart next day at 15:10, can I hit the lounge for a drink and a meal before I head for my hotel?

I’m Diamond / STE so I have access to the lounge in general. Just wondering about the access on arrival rules / how far in advance of next flight rules.

Haven’t been able to find answer online.

I know this would NOT be allowed in the KLM AMS lounge. No ‘just arrival’ access and your departing flight has to be same day.
