Hi Anton. There used to be some buttons on the grillhouse panel that would allow you to reset doors and windows, so if you broke them you could get them back without resetting the scenario. It looks like that option is no longer a thing in the newish grillhouse panel. It's a little frustrating for me since I like doing custom scenarios where I breach or defend a building with sosigs. (It's pretty fun, though the sosig AI has a hard time breaching and defending sometimes competently sometimes.) Anyway, when I play a scenario the doors and windows end up breaking, so if I want to replay the scenario I have to reload the entire scene, which can be pretty annoying to do. If the reset doors/windo

Love the last alpha update, super fun making my own little breaching scenarios. I do wish there was an easy way to adjust player health though. Right now I'm using the outdoor panel for it but it would be nice if it was in the default grill house one.

It would also be cool if loading a scenario took you to the spot you were standing when you saved. This will probably be less of a need once we can reset doors and windows again though. But if there's a future where people are uploading their scenarios, then it'd be nice to direct people to where it's supposed to be 'begin.'

Lastly I wish sosig ai would be a little less clueless inside buildings. Sometimes when I breach it feels like the sos

For both historical and gameplay reasons I think it'd be an improvement if farming required workers while the crops are growing.

For gameplay, it's a bit easy to have excess labor in terms of how Manu you need to survive and thrive. So you can easily use the excess in plowing/sowing/harvesting season. If you don't have excess for whatever reason, then you have to micro all your worker assignments for plowing/sowing/harvesting. Manually taking people from buildings, assigning them temporarily, and then putting them back. If farming required maintenance labor (let's say half compared to harvesting) while crops were growing, then the game would feel a little more challenging since you have to

Regional trains

Transportation

Hello all, I have a question regarding the regional trains in Italy. Basically, how are they for a tourist? I've read that they're similar to subways in the sense that they're busy at peak times, no assigned seats, not a ton of space for luggage, not super comfortable. Is this all true?

The reason I ask is I'd like to visit Ravenna when I'm in Italy in a few months. I'd be coming from Florence, so I'd probably take high speed rail to Bologna and then take a regional to Ravenna. It looks like it's around an hour and 10 minute trip. I don't expect some kind of luxury, but I would also like to know how much of a pain it would be for a 3 person group with luggage. Thanks for any answers.

It had calories! It was often used as a snack. And idk about you guys but food variety is hard for bigger towns. So having farming be able to give you not just bread but ale as food would make it a little easier. And a little rewarding considering how hard it is to get enough ale for everyone, and how much they drink.

I keep on seeing this whenever ale consumption in game is mentioned. It’s really high in game, but some people say it’s historically accurate because people drank ale/beer instead of water because it was safer.

But this is not true. Just check out these ask historians posts. Medieval people knew how to find good sources of water. And I think our blessed dev Greg knows this since we have a water well in game.

A key feature of the politics side of the game is that IG leaders can cause big shifts in your country’s political system. This makes things dynamic and your country feel more alive, like with socialist and fascist ideologies popping up in late game.

A problem with it though is that it can feel..random. You could be working on passing a law with an IG’s support then boom, the leader dies and their replacement is someone totally opposed to your law change. This can be frustrating for the player.

Thankfully, the system isn’t actually random. I’ve looked at the underlying files and can see that there’s actually a ton of factors that go into what the leader’s ideology is. The material condi

I’m seeing lots of complaints here, and I think this is the way to handle it. It’s a bit confusing since it can look like the game wants you to somehow solve a household’s rent problems. Which of course you can’t do. But you can prevent those problems from reoccurring by upzoning the land. Since the high rent sign usually comes when land value is increasing, it basically functions as the game letting you know that low density might be inappropriate, as people can’t afford to live there anymore.

It can be a bit annoying when you don’t want to upzone, or when a zero income household is complaining, but the good news is all you have to do is wait for them to move out and a wealthy family to t

Can cims move in via public transit?

Help & Support (PC) :CS2:

As in, if you set a train line with an outside connection, will cims move in from that instead of driving? I ask because I set up a high density satellite city and ended up with so much traffic that no one could collect trash and the hospitals ran out of supplies..

Cims demand housing types based on their preferences, right? Families like larger homes, such as single family or medium density. Students prefer cheaper medium and high density. Everyone wants what they can afford.

But I believe it’s not just abstract preferences, but what your city is currently like. As in, how much do cims want to live in your low density zoning as it currently is in your city. So if you design a nice downtown, with medium density and plenty of commercial access, services, and such, that area is gonna be very desirable to live in. As a result, your medium density demand is going to be strong, because people want to live in those medium density homes specifically.
