chonnes

I remember waking up early on weekends to go wait for hours in line to get concert tickets with my older brother. On concert day, I was excited to hear the song I'd heard on the radio but it didn't sound "right". My brother already thought I was a turd so I just hid my disappointment and smiled.

The customer is running DMX over cat5 cables (not ArtNet, just using the wires in cat5 to carry DMX) and someone must have thought it was ethernet because they added surge protectors designed for actual ethenet, inline on the DMX cables. Is using hardware for ethernet reliable to use for DMX over cat5? This is the device they used: https://www.surveillance-video.com/power-supply-dtk-wm8exts.html?srsltid=AfmBOor8IlLkBvT6oppLSz-0BS66CsTDZQ8FVNqfQB5J9eF89fbPFfFUmAU
