I've been having this weird "pulsing" on my secondary monitor for a couple of months and can't seem to figure out what's going on. By "pulsing" I mean the second monitor will suddenly become brighter for a split second. Sometimes it does it several times in a row when working with an app on the primary screen, but sometimes it'll just pulse in a repeating pattern every few seconds. It seems to only happen when a monitor is plugged into display port.

I have an MSI 2070 Super video card, which has one HDMI port and three display ports. The affected monitor is plugged into one of the display ports. The unaffected monitor is plugged in via HDMI. Both monitors are Acer XFA240.

I've been working on a project for a bit that was sort of inspired by Boxer for the Mac. Scummy, as I've called it, integrates directly with your installed copy of ScummVM. Scummy presents almost all the commercial games as fully, hand restored box art.

If you have multiple copies of games installed, you can right click a box to either launch a version, configure the games, or favorite it. In the configuration settings, you can set a version to be the default, which you can launch by left-clicking any box.

Scummy is able to read and write the configuration, so that means that you can manage game settings in both ScummVM and Scummy. Changing a setting in one takes affect in the other, so if

I’ve recently built a PC and it’s running the latest version of Windows 10. Everything was working great for the last month and then a couple of days ago I noticed the screensaver wasn’t starting and the monitors wouldn’t go to sleep later, and to top it off the system wouldn’t sleep either. If I sleep the monitors or system manually it works fine.

I have two monitors connected to the system. One is using display port and one is using HDMI. I noticed just before this that the monitors were not extending the desktop. If I went to display settings and chose “extend display” nothing would happen. Eventually I started using Windows+P to extend the display and then switch back whenever I’d start

I’ve recently made the choice to move from Mac back to PC after 17 years. I’ve collected quite a collection of music, mostly purchased outside of Apple. I copied the iTunes folder in Music on my Mac to my Windows machine, placing it in the location specified under Preferences.

Upon starting iTunes I notice that while things show up and play, my library seems to be a snapshot in time from 2019. My only guess is the upgrade to Catalina, where iTunes was retired, is the reason. Upon inspecting the library on disk, all the music files are there but the library database doesn’t contain them.

I’ve searched around on the Internet for a while with no luck. Does anyone know:

r/OpenEmu•

Hi all,

I'm having trouble with OpenEmu 2.2.1. I'd been using OpenEmu for a long while. I had tried to import a CUE file for a Sega CD game that refused to import. After much fussing, I finally ended up wiping out the database and starting over. I removed OpenEmu 2.2.1, backed up and removed everything under ~/Library/Application Support/OpenEmu, and started over.

The Sega CD title imported fine then. Huzzah! Strangely enough, the older Sega CD and Saturn titles that I had previously imported would no longer import. Same disc images, same bin/cue files.

So I repeated the process. This time, I could import the Sega Saturn games, but not the Sega CD games, including the one that had just i

There’s a project on Kickstarter for a quasi-interactive fiction, RPG, CYOA that looks pretty interesting. They’re kind of floundering and figured there might be some folks here that might be interested. I’d dearly love for the game to be funded, but it’s been stuck at 16% for about 5 days.

Thanks all and I hope this thing gets some traction!
