Despite growing up with late 90s RPGs, I never got into TES. I always prefered turn-based systems and kinda discarded TES as action games with little RPG to them (and having only played Oblivion and Skyrim didn't really help overcoming this prejudice I guess). Well, couple of weeks ago I stumbled across the Daggerfall Unity project and thought - hey, why not give it a go.
Oh boy, did I sink into that game. I didn't even know that the old TES games had dice-rolls in combat! I just thought it's real time so every strike just hits. That's awesome! Building a character means something and putting points into something has tangible effects. I was wrong all those years, these games *
Longer version: I'm gonna do it. I'm dedicated. I've been using Windows for the last 25 years so this is a BIG move for me. But I'm excited to learn something new. I've been trying different flavors/spins of Manjaro for the last two weeks and overall really liked the experience so far. I'm 90% sure that I'm going with KDE for my desktop environment - I just like the overall look and feel and it seems like a perfect middle ground of flashiness / resource-efficiency as well as customizability / solid out-of-the-box experience.
I'm just not 100% yet which distro underneath KDE to go for. My research across different linux-related subreddits, wikis and youtube channels lead me t
Ever since the Classic announcement I've been pondering and struggling which class I'm going to main on release. It is literally driving me insane.
There were nights where I'd just lay in bed, going over and over about it in my head, losing valuable hours of sleep. There were a few times where I thought I came to an conclusion, but one or two weeks later I start to question my decision and start all over.
Classic has me in it's grips months before the journey even begins.
This needs to stop now. I'll need to get some good sleep before I'll fuck my ageing body over once more when release hits. At least I know I'll definitely want to play either priest, hunter or pal
Disclaimer: I'm absolutely FOR these servers in classic. Their should be at least one RP-PVP server per region, simply because people ask for it and it isn't a big deal to set them up.
I'm seeing more and more posts about how these servers will be a glorious haven of immersive in-character open-world battles and be sure to attract a mature audience of like-minded roleplay aficionados. As someone who almost exclusively played on RP-PVP from back when they were introduced in 1.8 up until late WotlK, let me put my reaction to that notion in simple 2005 words: ROFLMAO.
Actual dedicated role-players made up around 10% of the server population, whereas the rest
My repro shantae cart just arrived and I was wondering if it is possible to reflash it with a joey.
I don't have a joey myself yet (planning to order one next month), but a quick look at the bootleg cart guide by u/BennVenn suggests it is some revision of the ES29LV160_DRV cart.
There seem to be minor differences though. The flash IC is a 8MB Numonyx 'M29W640GB6AZA6' and seems to opperate at 3V. The guide mentions that the ES29LV160_DRV cart is flashable once the battery is removed, the Y bridge desoldered and the N bridge connected. Which is the state my cart already came in. So I guess t
I'm looking to buy a few repro carts for reflashing purposes. I know that some repro PCBs have a hole that makes them compatible with genuine nintendo shells.
If anyone here has experience with a seller who uses this kind of repro boards, please let me know.
