Does anyone else find themselves wanting to build a train network, but that the space requirements make it scary to get started? Anyone have advice for me to bite the bullet and get started?

Has anyone else seen this bug? I used the cheat commands btw.

I've yet to be able to build a resistance ring (it's just not an option).

I think bows are exceptionally powerful in this game simply due to the gun ammo scarcity. I'd like to see a wooden shield that is effective at blocking arrows, but not bullets. You can use it with a melee weapon, but not a gun or bow, I'd think.
