My wife and I have a 600 square foot garden that we're fortunate to get tons and tons of produce from. We can't eat it all, and for a lot of things freezing/drying isn't an option (or doesn't provide satisfactory results). So I've decided I want to get into canning.

Last week, after very little research I bought a Presto Digital Canner. We have an instant pot that we love so I was comfortable with the concept and a digital introduction made sense. The more I read about digital canning the less comfortable I am with the presto. This includes comments/conversations here as well as on Extensions sites.

Ultimately - I'm no longer comfortable with the Digital Canner and it's getting returned.

I have a series of automated responses for my wife such that she can text, ?bedtime and get a bedtime schedule for the week (simple example, I know). How could I set it up so that if the next text coming in is "switch", for example, a different profile would trigger.

I don't want to have to have a separate command (i.e. ?bedtime_switch) and I obviously don't want it to trigger if she texts me switch every time...just when it immediately follows a ?bedtime text.

Just trying to figure out the best way to do this

I get Error Number bad variable name when trying to send an SMS to multiple variables with all of the below. If I go through the magnifying glass and select one contact and repeat it accepts that, it's just variable names. Fwiw, I've also tried global variables. I don't get it

  • %numberone;%numbertwo
  • %numberone,%numbertwo
  • %numberone %numbertwo
  • %numberone%numbertwo

It's a minor thing, I don't want/need it to be a group text I just don't want two actions when one should do. Am I missing something or having a moment?

I feel like I barely scratch the surface of Tasker even though I've got some (I think) pretty cool stuff set up. I was surveying actions last night and realized that I'd never noticed this one before.

Now I'm curious, how are others using it? How would you use it if you're not currently?

In the early days of crypto, there was a lot of buzz around using blockchain to create an auditable, irrefutable trail for everything from finance to supply chains (and maybe that conversation is still ongoing—I’m not actively involved in the space anymore). I’m looking for recommendations that explore advanced blockchain applications beyond the basics. Something that delves into practical use cases in industries like healthcare, real estate, and governance, or even speculative futuristic applications. Preferably more than a passing reference (i.e. Arkady Martine's Rose/House mentions that the ownership of the house was on the blockchain but nothing more).

Any suggestions?
