I'm considering leaving Active Duty. I have considered the option of Reserves or Guard, but there is one thing holding me back. I anticipate to discharge from Active Duty with at least a minimum of 40% VA Disability rating, possibly much higher. So my question is, if I join the Reserves will my family and I actually be losing money? Will I not get my disability payment and get paid less from Reserves than the VA would've paid me? But here's the thing, I started looking at the receipts stapled to the bags. I have a transcript from the DoD Fire and Emergency Services Certification Program, as well as multiple certificates including Hazardous Materials Technician (pro board accredited and NFPA)

I earned these through the US Army. I heard these will expire, but I am not sure how do I renew? I recently reenlisted "for school". The school being the AIT for my new MOS. I got the ATRRS email stating I have the class slot. I haven't even went to the school yet and now retention told me I have OCONUS orders after I finish school. I also got the email from ACT but no official orders yet. Does this sound like the normal process? When do I actually get my new MOS? Will it automatically be awarded when I graduate the school or do I have to do a process afterwards? Am I guaranteed that I am being slotted for my new MOS at my new duty station? Any and all experiences are appreciated.

AGCM keeps going away. Then a week later it comes back. Then it's gone again for a week. Then it appears again. Right now it's gone again. Yes I tried pushing this up.
