My latest purchases! First photo is the Acne Studios Musubi Midi Tote and the second is the Facade Pattern Pound Bag.

I just recently joined this sub because I finally admitted to myself that I love bags 😌 I used to think of being into bags as too "girly", which of course is silly because I always carry one and there are so many different styles and functions.

I spend a long time researching different styles and reviews before committing. This year I turned 30 and got a new job, so I decided to give in to my love of bag design and treat myself with these beauties.

I just got back from my biggest solo trip so far. I travelled the furthest that I ever have alone to a country that doesn't speak the same language. The trip was amazing. I planned it well (but not too much) and everything worked out. I have a friend that lives there, so I got to hang out with her a few times. But it made me realise how much I missed social interaction and having someone around.

Now I'm thinking ahead to my next trip in 9 months time. Even though I love planning and being organised, I'm feeling prematurely exhausted at the thought of managing everything by myself once again. Like, carrying heavy luggage, the language barrier, unexpected cancellations, dealing with any prob

Hello. I just need a quick sanity check on whether my travel options to Kyoto will be relatively convenient or annoying.

I can’t fly into ITM (or KIX) directly from my city. So my options are either:

  • Fly to HND and get a connecting flight to ITM

  • Fly to HND and get the train to Kyoto

I’m aware that the train is quicker, considering all the waiting time involved with flights. But is it also more convenient considering baggage? I’m a solo traveller with a cabin bag and a large checked bag. The checked bag will be mostly empty on the way in, but obviously it’ll be heavier on my way out.

Do you reckon if it would be difficult for a solo traveller to handle 2 bags on the Shinkansen from
