XG27ACDNG - questions.

Hi, currently I have an MO27Q28G which I will be returning because I cannot stand the gray banding that it has.

I'm looking for a new alternative for it, and XG27ACDNG seems like a good one - I don't really want to bother with a panel lottery again for MO27Q28G.

  1. Does it have a glossy coating (basically like a mirror) or more of a semi-glossy one (not as reflective)?
  2. Are the purple blacks really as big of an issue? I personally have an 1400lm light in my room, not much sun getting in.
  3. Do you think it will be a downgrade or an upgrade comparing to the MO27Q28G?

Which OLED to consider?

Hi, I'm currently an owner of a LC27G55TQWRXEN monitor with a VA panel. Honestly I'm finally sick of VA panels, I discarded IPS a long time ago.

What would you recommend for a 27" 1440p OLED monitor suitable for both work (programming) and sometimes gaming? I tried to look for ones myself but there are so many models, and not really a proper documentation on what to look for when shopping for these displays.

Refresh rate: minimum 120Hz,
Resolution: 2560x1440, 1920x1080 has too little PPI and 3840x2160 is in my opinion not worth it on a 27" panel for the additional GPU workload that goes with it.

I've seen the Gigabyte MO27Q28G but it has mixed opinions.

Question not really related to RCD330

Hi, I have an RCD330 installed in my Skoda Fabia 2 from 2012 (has the newer gateway because I have no battery draining issues).

Additionaly I noticed that 15 minutes after pulling the key out of the ignition and not opening doors etc. my phone stops charging.

What I'm getting into is, I want to connect a subwoofer and I don't know if I can just tap the REM cable into the VBAT which goes into the radio or do I need to get a fuse tap to connect it straight to ACC. (so it doesn't drain the battery).

TLDR; I want to know if VBAT has it's power cut after the 15 minutes

VW camera little problem

Hi

I mounted an adapter from VW camera to CVBS and it works perfectly (it's connected to ACC, so works at all times - at the same time it has a delay built-in.

The little problem is, that after the delay it disables properly but for a second it shows an warning "Rear Camera function not available" or something like that.

Should I just live with it, or can I fix it somehow?

Desay 187B CarPlay USB connection

Hi,

I have an Desay 187B.
When I hit an pothole my CarPlay disconnects and sometimes that makes the radio not play music through BT and CarPlay won't connect again until I reset it fully with holding the power button for 10 seconds.

Is it a problem with the cable or radio itself?

RCD330 review

I bought myself an RCD330 (Desay, version B as I don't need AA) and I'm very happy with it!

Sound quality matches or is even better than my old RNS510 which had problems with cold temperatures (at 12 degrees it would restart randomly).

Without any additional coding my reverse cam got disabled (which is good, as I'm still waiting for an adapter) and phone calls show on MFA which I was suprised about.

I can recommend this radio, only minus for me is green backlight but I can live with it.

Radio choice

Hi,

As I said in my previous posts I own a Skoda Fabia II with an RNS510 installed (originally Swing).

As my RNS510 starts to fail I'm looking for a new alternative which doesn't include Android-based headunits as they are crap in my opinion.

What should I look for? I saw a couple options and I can't get my head around what to pick.
Option 1: RCD330 6RD035187B (Desay)
Option 2: RCD330 5JF035187A (I haven't found an offer yet, but to my knowledge this one actually offers OEM green backlight not red)
Option 3: I heard about being able to mount MIB2 units in place of the RNS510 and after looking at offers a kit of display + radio unit is about the same price as an RCD330.

Do I need the adapter?

Hi, I bought a clone RCD 330 (temporarily, will buy an original one when an cheaper offer comes up).

With it I got an adapter with part number 8X0 035 444 on it.
Car is Skoda Fabia 2 and for now I have an RNS510 in it.

Clone has an name RCD360 PRO on it, it was plugged into a VW Scirocco 3 before

Do I need the adapter or should I skip it to connect my car to the radio?

Help finding a good seller

Hi, I’m from Poland and I’m struggling to find a good offer for an RCD330 with green leds for a fair price. I currently have an RNS510 in my Fabia mk2 but it has some issues lately so I’m planning to change it for something else.

Can anyone recommend some sellers on AliExpress and also which model to buy? I have the original VW reverse cam, I would like preferably wireless CarPlay but I can live with wired too.

Issue with SteelSeries Apex Pro

:Engine: Product Help

Hi. One of the keys on my Apex Pro shows the wrong colour. I tried disabling Prism etc. and it still displays Yellow when it should be White. When I set it to blue, it barely lights up.

Any ideas?
