Planning an anniversary trip in March 2017 to Koh Samui, and looking for a small, ideally beachfront boutique hotel recommendation.

We like small local beach bars and restaurants, we do not care for fighting for pool lounges, large chain resorts or loud children. We appreciate local customs and decor, we do not care for “beach club” culture, full moon parties or DJ sets.

We’ve narrowed in on Maenam, keen for any recommendations for wonderful boutique stays that could fit our preferences. Thank you!

Today my super hit $100k!

Some insight: I moved to Australia in late 2019, and my industry was decimated by Covid lockdowns here in Melbourne. I also had two employers who were reported to the ATO for unpaid super. I began salary sacrificing $300 per fortnight back in 2024, became an Australian citizen in 2025, and with some raises and a job switch, today I hit the $100k.

Thanks to this group for teaching me the ways of a salary sacrifice, International shares & growth! I’m keen to continue to salary sacrifice and enjoy watching my balance grow!

Several years ago, I worked with a well known jeweler and rep (frequently mentioned here!) on a completely custom ring for myself - down to specifics of specific stone cut/colour/size, the overall number of stones and metal type. It is not a common piece in any way that could cause confusion for being similar to others.

Recently I found the jeweler has had the exact piece to spec available for purchase on their website - this was never discussed or mentioned to me that it would ever be an option. If it were, I would have worked with someone else to make it.

A property I am interested in purchasing was listed appx 10 days ago for an EOI through the end of this month.

Scheduled showings were today and this weekend, but I have just gotten an alert that the property is now under offer.

Doesn’t this defeat the purpose of a deadline for offers? I’m not mad, just frustrated.
