Hey, all! Long time, no chat. This is a catch up post, with a question at the end about where things stand now.

The intro: I'm American, DH (currently standing for doing-better husband) is British, and we live in the US with our baby. My in-laws are British, and my MIL is so proud of [insert region in Britain where she lives] that she nearly pisses the [insert region]'s flag, and after dinner every night belches the anthem. HAIL [insert region]! Therefore, we shall call her Bitch Eating Crumpets because bitch never misses a chance to be [insert region person].

Or, let's just say British to keep things simple ;)

Last time I posted, shit had just gone down in a major way and I'd reached the

Today's post is not humorous, I'm afraid. It's also long. It's the story of how DH went from standing for Dumb Husband to very nearly standing for Divorced Husband. As it is, he currently is Disgraced Husband. When and whether that will change is still TBD.

Background: My MIL is a narcissist who is desperate to regain control of her straying scapegoat, his no-good wife (me), and our new pawn, cough, baby. She's British, as is my husband's family, while I'm American, and she is by golly so proud to be British she nearly pisses the flag. Therefore, she is called Bitch Eating Crumpets, because it's all BEC, all the time, until suddenly it's Bitch don't even.

Don't need advice, just a rant. Enjoy!

In-laws are British, I'm American, DH and baby and I live in America. MIL is desperately into being British, therefore I call her Bitch Eating Crumpets because she must be British at all times. HAIL BRITANNIA.

My in-laws are in town and despite not staying with us they are at our house nearly all the time and I am GOING NUTS.

Last night we were playing cards again and Crumpets kept going on and on about how she doesn't understand our complicated game WHICH SHE OWNS A COPY OF AND PLAYS WITH OTHER FAMILY. On and on. Halfway through the game, I glance over on her turn, see her cards, see what she's doing, and realize she's doing something not al

My MIL is British, as is D(ear)H, while I am American. DH and I live in America, and MIL spends all her holidays figuring out how to give us BRITISH gifts. BRITISH MADE. BRITISH DESIGNED. THINGS THAT SAY BRITAIN BECAUSE RULE BRITANNIA.

Therefore, we shall call her Bitch Eating Crumpets, because bitch never passes up a chance to be British.

Remember how I mentioned that Crumpets was trying to stay with us for a two week visit when we had our baby? Well, she isn't--she's staying with my parents, because due to her refusal to understand that no means no, every hotel in town sold out before she accepted that she and FIL would not be sleeping on our couch. My mother is a saint to offer this w

I know I mentioned how my MIL is trying to stay with us soon, but that story thread is at a stand-still and I don't really want to post about it until it starts moving again.

Instead, in honor of my husband flaring my anxiety by bringing up Christmas plans, let me tell you **the story of the moment I first saw Bitch Eating Crumpets' hatred towards me:

Last time I posted about a box of ridiculous candy she sent (which I noticed later all had "Taste of Britain!" stamped on them, go figure). See bitchbot. Full update on that, I composed an email around the wording suggested by the wise u/Made_you_read_penis. Then I read it to DH to make sure he was okay with it. He said grea

She will not stop sending us candy.

Every time my MIL sends us a box from the UK, it is stuffed with candy. Stuffed. Five or six pounds of candy, in every. Goddamn. Box.

Now, when we lived in Asia, and boxes were more expensive to send, she sent less. Or ma
