Hi! I've played a ton of the various skyblock/sky factory (and stoneblock) modpacks over the years. There's only one i played to completion, though, and I'm trying to remember which one it was. I recall that I went pretty hard on chickens, which doesn't really narrow it down, but the endgame goal was getting all the extra utilities 2 generators going at the same time in order to power the rainbow (?) generator? And the last thing I did for shits and giggles was to use some machine (rftools maybe?) that would literally regenerate chunks using the vanilla seed down to bedrock. So by the end I had like a 16x16 chunk area regenerated. I don't remember what the machine was, though, or the mod/mac

Hello! I've been giving FTB Neotech a whirl, and I am a bit perplexed/stumped on how to acquire diamond.

Current status: I've reached early steam age, with a basic boiler, macerator and compressor. At this point, the diamond hammer I got via whichever quest gifts it is down to under half durability after using it to get some obsidian and then just part-making on the forge. I acquired a few diamonds here and there (I don't remember how, probably looted), but still don't have enough to make a new hammer if i had to.

JEI suggests a few ways to get diamond, but they all look pretty far down the tech tree. It also has a recipe for straightup smelting diamond ore/deepslate diamond ore, which I

I was playing recently on the new ashlands release and found myself confused as I kept running out of rested buff way earlier than I'd expect. Turns out I noticed I wasn't actually getting the full rested buff after sleeping -- only the base 8:00 buff. I recorded a video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m_yDSM3l9Q8

When you wake up it's at base comfort but then it increments back up to normal.. Anyone else seen this? I wonder if it's intentional or not..

This started off as a reply to a comment, inspired by this piece of advice:

Upgrade your leather armor. You're close to getting the two BF armor types but until you do, upgrade that armor.

if I had one quibble with valheim's intended progression, it's that the leather armor requiring bones to upgrade feels out of place. Humor me and for the moment ignore those of us with thousands of hours that can waltz through burial chambers naked and pretend you're new to the game.

To get bone fragments at this stage of the game, you're either: killing skeletons, looting troll cave entrances, or venturing into burial chambers (am I missing anything a new player would know about?). Doing this is qui

There are many ways to die in Valheim. There are even many ways to die to a tree! I decided to rank my favorites in order with an emphasis on style points:

7: The Classic: you forgot to eat. now you're dead.

6: The Batter Up!: a felled beech spins so fast it gains enough rotational energy to knock you into the stands in deep right

5: The Avalanche: you chop down a densely packed group of beech, but they all pile on eachother and none of them drop. until they do. at once. your body is never found in the rubble.

4: The "I Got Greedy": you're rolling logs to get finewood early because you're Clever(tm). an oak log steamrolls you into a pancake. not as clever as you thought.

3: The Mistland
