New player here, let me expose my journey since I started Destiny 2, 4 days ago:

  • On first day I made my Warlock (what a cool class name seriously) and just went through tutorial quest on Earth, it was fine but had to disconnect half way through it (before reaching the Tower).
  • On second day, game decided it was time for me to jump to Mars right on logon? I think it was the first mission of the Witch Queen DLC? Am I correct? (it was a fucking blast as a new player btw).I play with a friend who started at the same time, we tried our first dungeon "Prophecy". Just the two of us, at around 1400 ilvl. It didn't end well lmao, we managed to get to the first boss and hit him a few times but we

Was asking myself this question lately, given the recent devserver datamine showing they add that choice to the Tomcat.

Tried those back in my F-4J, and they are still very effective in current "furball" meta. Got the feeling that people got used to AIM-7F and are able to dodge them quite easily at close range <5km. In that department, the AIM-7E-2 is king. You don't dodge a Sparrow DF, you eat it right in the canopy.

But the range of the AIM-7F is nice to have. Even if i find people have learnt to notch when engaged in bvr.

What are your thoughts on these fox-1's?
