Bought a house a week ago and the garage door started acting up yesterday. Most of the time it will only go anywhere from 1/4 to 3/4 of the way down and then reverse back up. It kind of shudders as it’s going down, but doesn’t make any loud or unusual noises. I did a balance test and I’d estimate it takes 60-70 lbs of force to lift it when down. I’ve checked the tracks and drums and everything looks normal and pretty new.

Everything was replaced 4 years ago and no changes have been made to the door. It is insulated, but was purchased and installed that way. The house was owned by an older woman and the garage door probably wasn’t heavily used.

We need to buy a minivan for a growing family, but have a pretty limited budget. So we're considering all the used options in $15-20k range. I've noticed that rebuilt Siennas are pretty similar in price to clean title Sedonas with similar mileage, year, and trim. This is for mileage of 60-80k miles. I've never liked the idea of rebuilt titles, but don't love Kia's reliability track record either. And then there's the whole issue of Kia's lack of immobilizers. Car theft is pretty rare in my area, but we still wouldn't consider it if it didn't have push to start.

Assuming all else is equal and the Sienna has been professionally rebuilt and comes with a 1-3 month warranty while the Kia is clea

Contributing actual helpful ideas to a group can only hurt you at this stage. Groups helped a lot of people throughout the hunt because you could trade information and ideas and help the group get to this point. But everything changes on the final clue.

Any step can be the last step, so any effort you put into helping with one step won’t be reciprocated. So all you’re doing is increasing your competition.

These solves are meant to be the toughest of the whole hunt and for the most part that means you either get a full solve or nothing. And the solves are not vague, so there’s no room for hints.

If you actually want to win, don’t contribute to groups outside your direct team anymore.
