Timeline:

1922 - Her father born in London.

1926 - Her father moved to the US with his parents.

1933 - Her grandfather naturalized (listed her father on the petition as his child).

1945 - Her father and mother are married.

1955 - My mom is born

The question is whether her father lost his british subject status when her grandfather naturalized in 1933.

I know her father never tried to reclaim his british citizen status.

Any help would be very helpful in order to determine if she is considered a UK Citizen or can become a UK citizen via descent. Thanks.

I'm looking for landscaping ideas for my yard. For those of you without lawns, what material do you use for the ground (other than patio/pavers)? Does anyone have experience with decomposed granite? Are there better options that might be more friendly to barefoot walking?

I had three people come and measure for painting and only one came back with an invoice estimate and it looks like this:

QuantityDescriptionRateTotal
5585sq/ftPaint 3 rooms, Hallway, Kitchen, Laundry, LR, DR and three baths1.164$6500
5585sq/ftPaint Material$0.40$2233
5585sq/ftPrimer Material$0.20$1117

There's no info, I asked him what kind of paint and he just said "Sherwin Williams" no elaboration (I'm pursuing more info tho). There will be trim work, walls, and ceiling and I just can't determine if I'm getting ripped off or not on materials. The labor rate seems very good, but the paint costs seem too expensive. Wh

In my backyard I have a 2'h x 18'w gradual down slope from my patio to the fence. I want to level this off to the patio level. Its about a 25 foot long area, and the retaining wall will be about 3 feet from the fence and run parallel to it. On top of the wall I will plant a parallel line of Taylor Junipers as a privacy screen so I'm not looking directly at my neighbors house. Given that this thing isn't very high, but does have small trees going in at the top of it, what is the best material to construct this thing with? Cheap, strong enough, and easy to install are my biggest goals. Longevity isn't a big deal.

HRV is about 10ms lower than normal, so where it once was 36, its now 26. RHR has gone from 49 to 53. My oura ring keeps giving me low readiness score because it thinks I'm fatigued, which honestly I feel a touch fatigued. Does this resolve itself eventually? I've heard pregabalin is supposed to increase your HRV, is it normal for the opposite? (started on 50mg for first 4 days, and now 100mg for 2 nights).

I've read the mayo clinics treatment recommendations and it appears the DAs are a viable 2nd line treatment after trying the alpha-2-delta ligands. They stress the importance of staying on low doses to avoid augmentation (as its rate of occurrence is dictated by dose) and to avoid withdrawal symptoms. This makes DAs sound manageable in comparison to how this sub reddit treats DAs.

Does anyone have good stories about using DAs in low dose?

I was recently prescribed a DA after finding no relief from Gabapentin. I was quite scared of trying DAs based on the info on this sub, but after reading the mayo cli

I am in analysis paralysis. My next project is a workbench but I don't know which direction to go. It will be used for hand tool woodworking, but also for general use as it will be my only working surface.

Butcher block is easy and I can brace the bottom a la Rex Krugers beginners work bench.

Laminated 2x4s seems best, except I don't have the clamps and it looks like the clamps will cost me $200 - $300 making it more expensive than the butcher block, but at least I'll have them for future projects. I also don't have a good surface to plane the 2x4s on. I'm basically starting from nothing.
