I’m not using a VPN. Currently located in Spain. Assumed I would get a Spanish subscription. Signed up, and DAZN decided that while my “current location” is Spain, my “home location” is Italy of all places. Meaning all of my World cup commentary etc is in Italian. There seems to be now way to correct my home country? The support chat is down. HELP!!!

I am sitting on a very large unrealized gain in Apple shares. The cost basis in the shares is about 15 cents for a stock that's trading around $220-230 at present. It's fairly a scary proportion of my net worth in a single stock.

The standard advice is to sell the stock and buy a diversified portfolio, but if I do that Uncle Sam and Uncle Newsom (California resident) are going to take a huge share. So what are my alternatives?

*I don't need the cash right now, so the obvious solution would be to dump the stock into an Exchange Fund which is like a private investment pool where other people with a similar issue trade their shares around without incurring a taxable event. At the end of a se

I've got an in-wall speaker setup (with a sub) in my TV room, two fronts, two backs, a center and a sub hard wired into a Yamaha receiver (V775). TV sound goes into the receiver via an optical line out.

I'm thinking about buying a Sonos PORT so I can use the receiver and speakers to listen to music via the Sonos app (I have a couple of older Sonos S1 speakers in other parts of the house, but have never tried the S2 system).

I am trying to figure out the best way to proceed.

If I plug the TV (sound out) into the PORT, and then plug the PORT into the receiver, will it be straightforward to switch back and forth between using the amp to stream music, and using the amp to amplify the TV?

Why is the SAA seizing territory in the south and getting it's butt kicked in the northeast, you are probably wondering?

A lot of people probably aren't clear on why the 25th Special Mission Division AKA the Tigers were redeployed away from the Saraqib/Idlib front to the Al-Ghab plains, a strategic choice which resulted in the loss of Saraqib and a dangerous rebel breakout from the point of view of the regime. Here's a quick post with some pictures to illustrate what appears to be going on.

The SAA's elite (or at least competent) troops recently took a lot of territory along the M5 corridor from Aleppo. For a time a few weeks ago it seemed they were threatening Idlib City itself, and indee

It is now fairly clear that Syria’s remaining rebel factions are staring at complete defeat on the battlefield. A combination of Russian airpower and munitions, a gradual professionalization of some units of the Syrian army, and the rebels’ mistaken belief that an alliance with Turkey would not sap their own will to fight have apparently conspired to turn Idlib into a hollow fortress.

It remains to be seen whether Erdogan and the Turkish army will intervene to save Idlib or Jisr al-Shugour. I suspect that they will not, and will instead negotiate with Assad for the right to build and maintain long term half a dozen or so large Turkish military bases in northern Syria, which the Syrians wil

My main method for picking up Italian has been listening to audiobooks in Italian and reading novels (which is a lot more work). I'd really like to try to do the read&listen approach. But I haven't been able to find any novels where I can read in Kindle App and listen to the audio using Amazon's fancy immersion reading system (which sort of tracks and outlines the text as it reads aloud from your audible file). I bought one or two books in both formats but the feature is maybe only available in English? Anyone else tried to get this working?

Edit: Here's a link to Amazon/Audible's page on the feature.
