I posted a week or so ago about my 2021 Glady having a total clutch failure, and having to leave it in South Carolina. Well, they called us today, the clutch has been replaced and the Jeep is ready to be picked up. We are over-the-moon happy at the quick response. Just wanted everyone to know what the outcome was.

Whelp, it happened again to me today. I took a “short ride around the neighborhood” and face planted on the road. Reflexes, or habit, got to me. I was scooting along at about 20 when a neighbor drove past going the other way. He waved, I waved, and boom, I was heading towards the pavement.
Look, I know that the scooter is less stable when I don’t have both hands on the handlebars. But, I’ve been riding motorcycles for 50 years, and when someone waves, you wave back, damn it. So, waved.
Now I have bandages on both hands and one knee, and at least one broken rib. Having an MRI tomorrow, so we will see what other damage has been done. But, for now, I’m busted up and can’t ride (or breathe pr
I'm not looking to post a lot, but I've been a big fan of the WoT series since just after The Dragon Reborn was released. My roommate bought a copy and was gushing over it, so I had to start reading...
I've read the series a bunch of times, now. Well, I've read the first five books a LOT, and read the entire series a couple of times. I had to keep starting over, you know, when new books were released.
Did anyone ever confirm that Bela was, in fact, one of the Forsaken?
My wife and I have owned our Nanrobot D4 scooters for a couple of years, now, but haven't ridden them as much as we thought we would. Part of the issue is that we don't live where scooting is... practical. We lived in Virginia Beach when we bought the scooters, and I envisioned using them a lot in town. Then, shortly after buying the scooters, we moved an hour and a half away, to a little town where the roads are narrow and the traffic drives at 60 miles an hour and can't get around you.
But! we took our scooters to First Landing on Friday, riding 12 miles along the Cape Henry trail. Our scoots are dual motor (2000 watts, total) and have hybrid on/off road tires, so they were perfect fo
This is a trip that I've booked well in advance, paying for the ride and the hotel room. No explanation, and while they offered to "modify the trip," I could not find a way to take another trip on the same day, going or coming.
So, I've cancelled. This is after the first trip that I took having the return trip delayed by several hours. Is Amtrak just completely unreliable?

I woke up this morning with the tell-tale signs of a cold/flu/Con Crud after going to DragonCon. I was careful! I'm fully vaccinated, wore my mask, got enough sleep, etc. We'll see how bad it gets, but I'm seriously annoyed.
It's the first one in months. I've not had anything on my naughty list, no beef, no alcohol, etc. and I'm taking my medicine every morning, so I will just attribute it to stress.
I'm not crippled, but walking isn't "fun." I just wanted to vent. Thanks.
Well, we just got the call, the solar installers are going to be at our house bright and early on Saturday Morning. By Sunday, I should have a solar roof installed. I'm so excited.
