I pre-ordered this from my LGS, but it wasn't included in their 40k shipment last weekend. They have no other updates and don't know why it's delayed or when it is supposed to arrive.

Anyone else experiencing this issue? Curious if this is a problem with GW not sending them out in time, or if this just has to do with my local distributor.

If you ordered it directly from GW, when did your Codex arrive?

I was really excited to go see Rivers of Nihil next month, but all the $35 GA tickets have been bought up by scalpers, and tickets are now $120. This is not unique to this show. This is happening with almost every show I want to see these days.

I did some research and discovered that any headline artist (in this case Killswitch Engage) using Ticketmaster has the option to completely block profitable resale on the platform. They can achieve this by opting into Ticketmaster’s Face Value Exchange program before their tour tickets go on sale.

Opting into this, turns on two features on Ticketmaster:

Automated Price Caps: Ticketmaster's system automatically caps any resale listing at the exact

Went 2-3 at the Alpine Cup GT this weekend with CK, Infernal Lance, Purge the Foe.

My list:

Castigator, Knight Diabolus

Despoiler w/ Gatling-Battle, Bestial Aspect

Despoiler w/ Gatling-Battle

Rampager, Fleshmetal Fusion

2x Karnivore

I played a dozen games leading up to it, and tested out several Despoiler load-outs: Dual Gatling, Gatling-Battle, Dual Battle, Thermal-Battle, and Chainsword-Thermal.

By far, I prefer the Gatling-Battle over everything. The Gatling is still great, and it's critical in situations where you get tagged and have to shoot yourself free. The Battle is a powerhouse into 3W models, even with the -1AP.

I enjoyed the Castigator as well. With the enhancement, i

Boyz bricks alone will be stupid. Every single turn, I can take a unit of 20 Boyz, put them in the waaagh, auto advance 6" with assault. That's 80 shots w/ sustained. Plus a strat of either ignores cover or +1AP. That's just before the charge. And you get to do that every turn.

Or take a unit of 10 Flash Gitz. Last game I auto advanced them 6", and put 85 shots (assault, RF1, sustained, blast, lethal) into two units of 20 Hormagaunts, vaporizing them both.

I'm thinking up some kitbashing ideas, and was wondering if Old World is the same scale as 40k?

Specifically, I'd love to use some of the models from the Beastmen range to convert. Would the Gors or Bestigors look out of place as Fellgor Ravagers? Would the Minotaur Herd be about the same size as Mutilators or Chaos Spawn?

Yes, I'm aware of the chapter of Space Marines called the Minotaurs.

But are there instances of literal minotaurs existing in 40k lore?

I've only come across Beastmen (ex Fellgor Ravagers), which have goat and ram looking heads. Decidedly not bulls.

Are minotaurs unique to AoS?

I'm entering a 1k RTT next week and am struggling with building a list for this. What are the list building principles at 1k?

Do I still account for each type of role (screeners, anti tank, heavy infantry, etc.) but just bring less of each, or should I skip certain roles entirely and focus on overwhelming in one specific area?

Curious what others have found works here.

Do I bring lots of small battleline units or big elite ones? Is bringing my 500pt Ghaz brick a mistake or a strength?

I plan on bringing Orks, so I have a fair range of unit types available, but light on reliable anti-tank shooting. Also, trying to assess if bringing my 500pt Ghaz brick is a mistake or a strength.

What do we know about the Minotaurs of old? It seems that the original chapter that was created during the 21st founding is not the same as the chapter running around in the 41st Millennium.

I've seen references on the 40k wiki that they had an erratic gene seed tithe, and that other chapters of their founding had diverse curses and genetic corruption.

I'm trying to establish some head cannon for my army, and trying to track down any source material that references the original chapter and hints as to what might have happened to them.

I'm looking for anything that can support or contradict a narrative that they ended up in the warp, got corrupted by chaos, and eventually morphed into l
