Hi, was just wondering what the point is of taking ECON 2040 as an Econ major -- looking at the requirements, it doesn't actually seem to fulfill anything in a particular area; am I missing something? Is it a useful class to take in general?
Hi, I'm a student in Eng currently trying to transfer to A&S, and so I'll only be taking a math course and an ENGRI this fall -- I was curious which of them, out of the ones available in the fall, is the least time-consuming / easiest; here's a list:
ENGRI 1100 Laser & Photonics
ENGRI 1101 Engr Applications of ORIE
ENGRI 1120 Intro to Chemical Engineering
ENGRI 1140 Materials for Energy Systems
ENGRI 1160 Modern Structures
ENGRI 1170 Intro to Mech Engr
ENGRI 1200 Intro to Nanoscience & Nanoeng
ENGRI 1337 Intro to Biological Engr
Need this one for a sociology class -- since it doesn't seem to be worth a large amount anyway I'm willing to Paypal around $8.
Starting a Business Law class and trying to find this textbook -- Willing to Paypal/Venmo around $10.
There's an instagram username that's taken right now by a seemingly inactive account, and I'd like to change my username to that -- if someone can help me get this done, I'd appreciate it ($5).
I'd like to fit in an FWS class that runs from 10:10 AM TR, but unfortunately all of those classes run until 11:25 AM -- my CS classes start at 11:15 AM. Is it possible to make this work, or am I stuck with picking the 8:40 AM slot?
I got a 5 on AP English Lang, Macroeconomics, Microeconomics, and USH -- I know that this gives me "credit," but what does that actually mean? I'm majoring in CS; these courses are for the most part not at all relevant to my major. Do I not have to take a free elective because of how many credits I can get from those tests? Also, I no longer have to take a FWS because of my English Lang score, correct? Is there any point to still doing so?
Thank you to anyone willing to go through these annoying, and probably stupid questions!
Edit: I'm in the College of Engineering, forgot to include that somehow.

Is this any good? It's in the FAQ as one of the routines but I haven't really seen anyone talking about it on here. Been using it myself for around a month now.
So, I applied and was accepted at Cornell, to the College of Engineering for CS. It's not a huge deal to me, but I'm noticing now that they also offer a Computer Science degree in the College of Arts & Sciences -- what exactly are the differences between these two? I'm assuming one has more science classes and one more humanities (which I actually like quite a bit more), but are there any differences in the CS courses / Employment opportunities / Career prospects? Also, how hard would it be to transfer from Engineering to CAS, if I wanted to?
